I am just about to start a photography course at home and was wondering
how long it would take/how much it would cost, to get everything I
would need for a darkroom?
I am new to all this and have already bought a pentax MZ60 to use. Is

It is always interesting to me to go and see what you did not see when you
were taking the picture.  Sometimes you learn something interesting.

BJ ink drying time13 May 2005 00:01 GMT5
Does the brand of photo printing paper make a difference to the length
of time bj ink takes to dry. I have been printing with an Epson RX510
on Kodak Premium Picture Paper and the ink takes a long time to dry.
More than a day to be completely dry, especially in the cool overcast
Dimage Scan Elite 5400 II vs Dimage Scan Elite 540012 May 2005 17:00 GMT4
I am looking to purchase a dedicated film/slide scanner and cannot make
up my mind whether to purchase the older version of Dimage Scan Elite
5400 or the newer 5400 II. I wish one could go to a store and see
images produced, but where I live you cannot find one.  I have also

{SI} Comments on Parents Images11 May 2005 23:51 GMT8
Owamanga: This was a nice start to the series.  I enjoyed the idea of young
parents at the beech with their child.  Very nice.
Cody: A nice effort.  With a little sharpening and balancing in photoshop,
you could make it much better.  Welcome to the group.
Leica M6 Classic11 May 2005 20:20 GMT78
I am interested in one of these but I can't find out what framelines the
0.72 version offers. The deal I am contemplating includes 35mm, 50mm and
90mm lenses, so I am assuming that the camera has those framlines, but I
also have a 135mm Leitz Elmarit so I am interested to hear if it ...

Reversed image11 May 2005 04:17 GMT22
A friend emailed me a black & white photograph of an area where we both
worked at Stanford University. It shows the installation buildings while
they were under construction, and the yard area before most of the stuff was
there. Unfortunately, the image is reversed. Whoever ...
Dim viewfinder image with faster lens?11 May 2005 00:04 GMT2
I have old screwmount cameras, and have collected a good number of
normal lenses.
Of interest here is the Mamiya/Sekor 55mm 1.4.
When this is mounted on a camera, the image in the view finder is

Odd focus problem on manual slr10 May 2005 22:49 GMT29
I'm using an all manual SLR set up and just recently my last two rolls
came out odd.  I KNOW I've been focusing correctly when I take the
shot, but when developed the intended subject is blurry.  What's odd is
that objects about 3-6 feet further away are in focus!
OM question10 May 2005 22:39 GMT7
I own an E1,  and because there are no lenses faster than F/2 for this
camera,  I ordered an adapter for the OM lenses, and I recently bought a
Zuiko 55mm F/1.2 lens,  which I'm real excited to try out,  as soon as the
adapter arrives.  I'm  not expecting miracles, though, since the ...
