more $ using film?21 Mar 2005 20:33 GMT11
Do wedding photogs who use digital make less
than if they used film?
If photos are given by the photog on cd/dvd, then copies could
be made and given out to others for free, thus the photog
Vivitar 500mm f/8 Mirror Lens21 Mar 2005 14:01 GMT12
How good are these mirror lens?  On a digital SLR it would be a 750mm f/8
lens, which wouldn't be too bad.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

hi-quality scans for enlargements?20 Mar 2005 19:19 GMT4
I'd like to make some poster-size enlargements from some 35mm
negatives that I have.  In the past, I've used purely optical
services, and not been particularly happy with the results, so I'm
thinking of trying an on-line digital service, which will give me more
avoiding shadows with flash portrait photography20 Mar 2005 17:28 GMT18
I will be taking photos soon for a dance studio, for the past 2 years, I
have had the problem of shadows around the outline of the girls. I don't
see the shadow when I take the photo. Does anyone know of a way to avoid
this? It is flourescent type lighting in the studio. Thank You

Canon DLSR operating temperature range:  HUH?!?20 Mar 2005 02:18 GMT24
Anyone have experience using any of Canon's DSLRs (10D, 20D, Rebel,
Mark II...) below 32 degrees F?  Their specs say not to...   sounds
quite restrictive to me, being a Canadian and all...
Someone I know used a 10D outside in 30 degree weather, and their

Canon IS lenses 100-200mm?19 Mar 2005 23:13 GMT3
Does Canon offer an IS single-focal-length lens in the 200mm range?
They have a 300/4 IS but nothing shorter than that in a non-zoom,
unless I missed something.
Scanner Question about Histogram/(Level Graph)19 Mar 2005 16:18 GMT14
I send some slides to a local lab, they said they have a drum scanner.
But after the files came back, I was confused with their histogram.
Pixels are totally not spread soomthly on the whole range. On the two
end, [0-40], [200, 255], there is nearly no any piexl.  In the range of

[7D] backfocus - resolved19 Mar 2005 06:39 GMT2
[1] Contrast.  Because of the severely oblique angle, the contrast was
best on the test lines closer to the lens.  I tended to focus there.
[2] Lighting.  Because of low lighting, I was not seeing as well as I
should have.
adapterMinolta MD lens / Canon EOS18 Mar 2005 20:52 GMT2
I have a nice Minolta MD lens, which I'd like to use on a Canon EOS
body (300D). Is there a vendor out there who makes such an adapter?
Thank's.
