[SI] Bowser's shot02 Mar 2005 13:04 GMT3
I have a very similar shot, although not fish eye, taken the same day
that the image I submitted.
The one I submitted is of the new bridge, while the bridge similar to
yours is the old bridge 100m away that is used for bicycles and

Nikkor 10.5mm f2.8G ED DX
Nikkor 20mm f/2.8D
Nikkor 35mm f/2.0D
scanner for black and white02 Mar 2005 12:32 GMT7
I am looking for relatively inexpensive scanner to scan only b&w
negatives. I am not going to scan large amounts of negatives or make
prints bigger than 8x12.
I am choosing between Konica Minolta DiMAGE Scan Dual IV and Nikon
Flash Pentax TTL metering02 Mar 2005 00:40 GMT3
I've been considering getting a flash for my K-1000.  I think I'd like
for the flash to be able to meter thru the camera lens.  Is this
something accomplished with the 'hot sync shoe'?  Or does that just
coordinate the shutter and flash?

What handheld lightmeter ??01 Mar 2005 21:58 GMT3
I haven't had a handheld lightmeter for 25 years,
I'm thinking of getting a basic handheld meter without spending too
much money, probably on ebay.  I'd like to narrow down the selection.
Here's what I want it for.

D70 prices01 Mar 2005 15:59 GMT2
I was getting ready to take the D70 plunge a few weeks ago and saw $650 as
the lowest price on the web. This week I see it for $475. What's the deal?
Is there something wrong with the D70 that I haven't read or heard about? Is
there a new Nikon model coming out soon that is ...
slide/film scanner01 Mar 2005 15:14 GMT3
Well, I just got my new Epson 4870 up and running and am quite delighted in
the quality of 35mm film and slide scans it does (compared to my old
scanner).   I didn't get it specifically for slides/film, just scanning old
photos and some OCR stuff.    Doing slides/film is a nice ...
What is the deal with Nikon N6000?01 Mar 2005 13:42 GMT2
I found a Nikon N6000 at a Pawn Shop today. I've not decided yet if I will
buy it. They are trying to come up with a price. I noticed, looking at
places like KEH, that the N6000 is priced higher than the N6006. I'm I
missing something here? Why would the manual focus (N6000) cost ...
Shutter locked and can't see anything from viewfinder01 Mar 2005 05:19 GMT8
I am using my Nikon N70 for years and no problem. But last night when I
try to shoot some pics, the batteries were "near to gone". I remembered
the shutter was somewhat locked out. This morning I replaced with the
new batteries and the shutter is still locked and I can't anything ...
[SI] My Symmetry shot01 Mar 2005 03:51 GMT14
This is my first attempt at studio work and at working with a model (her
first time too) -
all in all I think it went rather well, but I can already see many ways
I could have done better.
