Lens Mount Types05 Mar 2005 01:33 GMT2
Are pentax 'm' mounts and screw mounts the same as the "k mount"?  I am
constantly confused as to the matter, because I keep seeing 'm' mounts
that /look/ like they are the same as the k mount.
Also, do zoom lenses require power?  I'd think no, no?

Is it acceptable to post FA threads here?
If so, where can I post For Auction threads for 35mm cameras?
TIA,

Equipment for skiing photography.04 Mar 2005 14:23 GMT8
I'm not a great photographer but I know vaguely what I'm doing. I'm off
skiing in a week and intend to do a bit of photography. I've got a 70-210
zoom lens and polarising and UV filters. Just wondering if anything else
would be recomended?
Poor quality images on projector despite high quality scan04 Mar 2005 10:07 GMT6
I'm due to give a lecture on my experiences in Australia, and I need
to show some pictures I've taken in that regard. I've also downloaded
pictures of exotic, yet common animals in Australia, that I don't have
any pictures of myself.
Manual for Nikon AF F60103 Mar 2005 21:10 GMT2
Hey there, I've found this old cam but the manual is missing. :(
I've googled for it but couldn't find anything, although there were a couple
of people looking for this particular manual too.
I've also checked Nikon's website as well.

B&H fire03 Mar 2005 12:12 GMT7
Apparently there was a major fire at the B&H warehouse yesterday.  If you have
anyhing on order, you might be affected.
Thankfully, only one injury, no deaths, no other harm except to 'stuff'.
If you catch this Henry, we're glad nobody was hurt.

Monopod Question03 Mar 2005 04:10 GMT1
Looking to purchase a compact and preferably light weight monopod.  Been
looking at Manfrotto models 680 and 676 (old 3006).  The 676 is about 3/4
pounds lighter but the light weight makes me wonder if it is stable as the
680. I will probably use a 3229 or 484rc head on it. I'd ...
[SI] My Symmetrical comments03 Mar 2005 03:10 GMT11
I've tried to make my critique as useful as possible, I hope you find it so.
Al: The light's a little directionless which seems to be drowning out
the detail and washing out the colours, you could almost imagine it was
taken in britain (I'm looking at a seriously boring overcast ...
