And with old comes mean. This board is really killing itself! It's to bad.

[PMA] Predictions10 Feb 2005 05:13 GMT20
What do you hope, desire, expect from this year's PMA?
I'm sure it will be digitally heavy, but what can film shooters look forward to?
Cheers,
Alan
A picture worth millions... 10 Feb 2005 03:46 GMT13
This is a strange story...

What do you think, does he deserves that much for (seemingly)
an unpaid bill of $2000?
Lomo Frogeye09 Feb 2005 21:56 GMT1
Perhaps the last 35mm film-based underwater camera anyone will ever
introduce, the Lomo Frogeye looks intriguing. Anyone have any
first-hand underwater experience with this camera? (It looks toy-like,
but at $75, I'm skeptical; I can pick up a Canon Sureshot A1 for less
KIEV4 Rangefinder - Telemeter repairing09 Feb 2005 16:51 GMT14
I have just bought a Kiev4. Unfortunately the telemeter doesn't work.
Adjusting the distance on the lens I can feel no resistance at all, as if
there is no tramsission from distance adjustment and telemeter regulation.
The splitted image in the viewfinder doesn't move at all.
Sorry Anni but your 20D is a drop in the ocean....09 Feb 2005 06:49 GMT6

Ping Roxy - Nikon AF-S VR 200f2.0G IF-ED review09 Feb 2005 06:31 GMT12
Hey Dallas......I mean Roxy, this would be a great lens for shooting
rugby. Check out the review of this incredible lens here:

This lens appears to have very shallow DOF and very pleasing bokeh and
Determine required flash power09 Feb 2005 03:49 GMT14
I am looking to purchase studio lights, mostly likely Alien Bees. How does
one go about figuring out what kind of power they need? 9/10 I will be
shooting a small group (say under 5 people) but there will the the occasion
where I will shoot 30 or so.
Minolta 7sii         - 70's rangefinder 09 Feb 2005 00:55 GMT4
I have bought a mint boxed black version . Should I use the camera or shelf
it for its rarity
Autofocus Capability08 Feb 2005 22:33 GMT49
One of my main uses for my 35mm is photography of aircraft.  My question is
whether current autofocus systems have the ability to keep continuous focus
on an aircraft doing a fly-by at 300 mph at a minimum distance of a couple
hundred yards?  Are certain brands of lenses better ...
AF Cpu08 Feb 2005 20:56 GMT31
I just finished reading about the AF System and how it works.  I was
wondering what are the main functionalities in the AF Cpu??  Where is
all of this phase detection, phase shifting and all the comparisons of
sensors located inside the AF cpu??  Also, how does the AF CPU work
Homebrew Front Projection Info?08 Feb 2005 20:49 GMT17
Is anyone aware of a good source of information for building a front
projection system similar to the Scene Machine? Drawings, diagrams, and/or
pictures, would be very useful. In fact, just an ongoing discussion with
someone who has done it would be useful. And, of course, sources ...
Leica M7 with Nikon flash?08 Feb 2005 20:43 GMT3
I have a Leica M7 and Nikon SB800 flash (for newest digital cameras). Will
this flash work without damaging the Leica internally? How about with a 10
year old Nikon SB24 flash?  I have a huge Nikon set and would like to use
either of these flash units. Thanks!
Leica MP or M7  or eos 1V (for people photography)08 Feb 2005 16:30 GMT21
Im thinking of getting either brand new as I dont think there are many
mint 2nd hand models on the market. But....
...I dont like the thought of the M7 having a battery dependant shutter.
Wont it freeze up if say I am shooting in winter time ?
