| Hey! Matt Clara!! | 18 Feb 2005 10:11 GMT | 9 |
You've got some mighty nice friends in Curtis and Susan! We had a delightful evening together, and I'm looking forward to more. Unfortunately I'm pretty booked up right now but I'm trying to free up a full day so we can spend it together! Thanks for the intros!!

| rollei 35 metering with mr-9 adapter | 17 Feb 2005 19:05 GMT | 4 |
I've recently picked up a Rollei 35S and bought an MR9 battery adapter so that I could use a modern 1.5V battery in it (for anyone that doesn't know about it, see the following for details of the MR9: http://www.criscam.com/mr9.htm)

| Opemus Standard 2 | 17 Feb 2005 18:25 GMT | 2 |
Yesterday I received as a gift beautiful Opemus Standard 2 enlarger. All as new condition and works perfectly. Unfortunately, I have no user manual, so I don't know if this model could be adopted for use with colour head or with filters for multigrade paper. As I understand it is ...

| [OT] NOVA - document preservation | 17 Feb 2005 15:39 GMT | 3 |
Off topic to be sure but of interest to anyone who makes prints. Last night NOVA looked at the conservation of the most precious US historic documents (the Decl. of Ind., The Constitution and the BoR). While the later two were in reasonable condition, the DOI is in a terrible

| [SI] My rejected mandates | 17 Feb 2005 12:56 GMT | 10 |
For no reason, here's the list of mandates I dreamed up, but didn't use: Self-Timer (a photo of yourself in some interesting place) Facescape (find an interesting face, one with lots of detail, and shoot them; not looking for "model" types here, just faces with character)

| Replacement Camera System | 16 Feb 2005 17:02 GMT | 6 |
My question is: "What's the best value in a Canon SLR film body". Here's the scenario: I'm thinking of bagging my 20 year old manual focus system which features a body that has become unreliable.

| Hypothetical situation | 16 Feb 2005 16:11 GMT | 17 |
You arrive home and as you are pulling into your driveway you notice that your house is on fire. You run into the blaze to save what you can but you only have time to pull out either your cameras or the photos you have taken with them. Not both.

Jim Kramer I think this is my favorite of the images posted so far. This image deconstructs the Mandate right to its core. I was hoping that not everyone would go literal. Excellent!
