I've been reading a few reviews and user opinions of the 20D, and there seem
to be some complaints regarding it's ability to focus on moving objects. Not
many, but a few. Have you experienced any of this?
Announcement: James Photography seeks participants for 2nd Annual Film Scanner Bake-Off13 Jan 2005 19:51 GMT1
Last year's scanner bake-off was a runaway success, with almost 18,000
hits on the results page alone.  It was based solely on scanner
resolution, measured scientifically with Norman Koren's Imatest

Flash Depth of field13 Jan 2005 12:45 GMT8
I am using a Conon EOS 33 and a Speedlite 520EX. If I am taking a pic,
for example, at a wedding of a group of people I need a fairly deep
depth of field to get everyone in focus. If I set the camera to manual
and choose say f8 how do I know that setting the speed to 1/60th or

I'm looking for recommendations for an affordable telephoto or telephoto
zoom for Nikon.  I would like a good quality lens, but it does not have to
be of the quality of a 80-200 VR f2.8.
Just something I can acquire for $500 or less and will give me good

Ever wanted to use a Zeiss lens on your Canon EOS?

a Canon EOS camera body. These are high quality CNC machined products

Non-TTL Flash Questions12 Jan 2005 02:38 GMT12
I got a flash unit without TTL capability, it equips with an AUTO mode
of course. The GN number of this Flash unit is 20 (ISO 100 in meter).
In the back side of the unit, there is a sheet, which said, in it's
auto-mode, the aperture has to be f/5.6 for a ISO 100 film.

I bought myself a little mini vacuum cleaning kit from Jessops today,

I hope I am not ruffling too many feathers here, but I haven't been able to
locate the appropriate newsgroup for the kind of information I need.  Maybe
someone here can provide a lead to two.
I've been a 35mm film enthusiast for years, but my current computer isn't
