| God! DOF Scale in my Lens DOES NOT Agreen with the Hyperfocal Formula! | 17 Jan 2005 14:49 GMT | 29 |
I have a Zeiss Planar 1.4/50. When I focus on the infinity, the DOF scale indicates the hyperfocal distance for F16 is about 3.3m. But work from the formula, it follows that h = f^2/(N*c) = 50^2/(16*0.025)

| This is just too lame | 15 Jan 2005 17:09 GMT | 24 |
I don't know who the photographer who took this portrait of Juliette Binoche is, but I won't be surprised if it turns out to be Rankin, as I've seen many of his images and they tended to be in this pattern. Wait, it actually says on the picture, it's Warwick Saint.

I am looking for a wide angle lens for my 10D. I am considering the Sigma 15-30, the Sigma 12-24, the Tamron 11-18 due out later this year, the Tokina 12-24 due out soon and possibly the Canon 17-40. What I have decided that I really need is 24-28mm on the wide end and a reasonably ...
