NEW Canon Digital Rebel R (300DR)13 Nov 2004 12:40 GMT3
The announcement is about to be made in a few days, but the specs and
some pics have already leaked on a German site. I put them up on my
website along with the specs.

Canon FD50 or FD50-U extension tube-----------> What's the difference?13 Nov 2004 12:39 GMT2
Can someone explain the difference between the Canon FD50 and FD50-U
extension tubes.
I am considering purchasing one or the other for use on a FD 100mm f4
macro lens.
Is a 28mm rangefinder really optically better than a reflex 28mm ?12 Nov 2004 19:39 GMT2
I've compared the photodo results beetween 28/2,8 biogon and 28/2,8
distagon. Distagon perform surprising good results. I was considering to
get a rangefinder to make landscape but for now just a mirror-prelock
contax body seems to fit.

How to load Kiev 4AM12 Nov 2004 19:24 GMT1
I'm thinking of purchasing a Kiev 4am rangefinder but I have one
question first. I don't have access to a darkroom, or knowledge of how
to use one, so I have to rely on labs to process my stuff. With the
Kiev 4am, is it possible to just use a normal 35mm roll of film with
Leica R-series12 Nov 2004 17:42 GMT21
I had my Leica R4 and lenses valued at approximately US$4,000 yesterday.
The amount came as a complete shock and it now looks like it is the most
expensive gear I own.
So, do I dare use this mint stuff (it's never been used) or do I flog it
NIkkor AF 28-200 f3.5-5.6G vs AF 70-210 f4-5.6D12 Nov 2004 10:16 GMT15
I would like a lens up to 200 mm to go with a D70, but it needs
to be something lightweight and portable.  I'd like great sharpness
and speed and low distortion but must make compromises obviously.
I'd be happy to go with smaller aperature on a VR lens if there

Questions from a confused flash user12 Nov 2004 01:39 GMT7
I have scoured my instruction books but can't seem to get clear
explanations to a couple of questions I have.  I'm not sure how
much the particular equipment matters, but I'm using a Nikon F5
and SB-28 flash.

Photo Lighting Kits...11 Nov 2004 14:42 GMT15
Does any one here have any recommendations on a good source for information
on photographic/studio lighting?  Any good books/websites?  I have been
googling and can't seem to find what I'm looking for.
I would like to get a reasonably priced lighting kit for playing around with

Solution to dust causing spots in Nikon D70 ?10 Nov 2004 14:30 GMT6
Is there a method to clean dust off the CCD filter in the Nikon D70?
I assume there is dust here which is responsible for the spots in my images.
Thanks
