CANON EOS and M42 adapter with electronics for manual lenses15 Nov 2004 15:55 GMT5
I made an M42 adapter to be able to use old M42 lenses with CANON EOS.
I attached electric contacts and electronics from old 28-90 zoom lens
to get the focus confirmation. The problem is that it doesn't work
very well. The AF circuit in the camera sees everything like it would
Wanted to Buy15 Nov 2004 12:53 GMT1
I am looking for a focusing screen in excellent condition for a Nikon FG
camera.  I tried Nikon but they do not carry them any longer. I was
wondering if anyone out there knows of someone who has one just for parts or
who is willing to sell certain components from the Nikon FG.  Any ...
(SI) Defending my "Erotica" shot14 Nov 2004 23:56 GMT1
I appreciated all of the critiques of my shot.  All of them were
pretty much on target.  I didn't take offense to the critque that it
looked like a Sears catalogue shot because that was pretty much what I
shot it for.  The image is taken from a model's portfolio that she was

Is there a way to turn off the beep that the N75 makes when autofocus
locks?

Backpacker considering Nikon N75 camera for small size14 Nov 2004 02:01 GMT9
I backpack pretty frequently and want to purchase a lighter Nikon SLR body
to go with several lenses just for these camping trips. My primary usage of
the camera will be for landscapes, infrequent wildlife that I just stumble
upon, and occasional night-time, star trail shots. I ...
Lens question14 Nov 2004 01:24 GMT4
Hello everyone. I've tried searching but there seems to be very little info.
Is anyone familiar with the Sigma 100-300 f/4.5-6.7 DL lens? Any reviews
of it around the net?
How much shooting did you do this past summer?13 Nov 2004 20:26 GMT11
At least for those of us in the northern hemisphere, spring, summer and fall
present the busiest photographic season...
From last spring until recently I shot about 30 rolls of slides, a few rolls of
negatives.

[SI] Erotica - Brian's Comments13 Nov 2004 20:05 GMT46
I'll have to go a little easy on everyone considering I barely made this
mandate (see the date info on the EXIF) and erotica is a difficult
subject to capture.  It's not nudity, it's not pornography... it falls
in between smut and art.  Has to be risque enough to stimulate ...

[SI] Erotica - my comments13 Nov 2004 16:51 GMT19
Erotic is one of those extremely subjective things. I hope the following
comments will be found useful.

How to repair a Nikno AF Zoom Lens13 Nov 2004 16:44 GMT4
This is a Nikon AF 70-210mm zoom in very good condition. The only
problem is that one of the electronic connectors is loose and I do not
get good connection to the lens. So the aperture info is erratic, on
and off. But manual focusing (also metering) works perfectly.
