No...this is NOT spam. I'm a regular here, and just like people often express their good/bad experiences with B&H and other establishments...this place deserves mention. This is just a heads-up to alert anyone considering mid-to-higher end

| Is the picture of this person for real? | 27 Nov 2004 14:13 GMT | 9 |
Someone on a forum I post to has recently claimed to be the person in this picture. But this poster is under high suspicion, because several of the regulars of the group believe the pic has been Photoshopped. Please assess this picture and tell us what you think of its validity.

| Yet Another Bird Photo | 27 Nov 2004 04:40 GMT | 8 |
Just to show you that you don't need something as sophisticated as the 20D to shoot birds, I've decided to post my bird photo: http://home.comcast.net/~xelbon/turkey.jpg This bird was not match for the Sony's lightning fast AF.

| Nikon telephotos with teleconverts. | 27 Nov 2004 00:21 GMT | 1 |
I'm thinking of buying a telephoto lens for an F6 - my main interest is wildlife. I currently have for the camera 1) 50mm f/1.4 AF-S (new lens, bought with body) 2) 60-300mm old manual focus Tamron, which I will soon get rid of.

| Panos Made Easy (ATTN: Brett) | 26 Nov 2004 04:54 GMT | 39 |
Brett, Love the panos. Yes, really. But you're working way too hard. Try this--one shot, one scan, minimal Photoshop time: http://home.comcast.net/~xelbon/alabama_hills_11.jpg

Another one from the Alabama Hills (USA, California, near Lone Pine): http://home.comcast.net/~xelbon/alabama_hills_02.jpg A small reptile was kind enough to pose for me, as well. XPan, 30mm, Velvia. No stitching involved. ;-)
