AF SLR with Most Powerful Built-In Flash18 Oct 2004 20:48 GMT16
At one time I thought Nikon N60 had a pretty good flash, but it is no longer
available.
Any recommendations among the current offerings?
Thanks.
ASAHI Pentax ESII flash18 Oct 2004 19:39 GMT8
I just received a Pentax ESII and need a flash but I am very new to
the photography game and am not sure what to get.  Are the flash units
standard or do I have to get a unit that is made especially for an
ESII or at least a Pentax?  This is an older camera so I hope these
Canon AT-1: I need help18 Oct 2004 16:46 GMT13
Hi I'm a newbie of this group. I recently get this camera, but I
couldn't be able to use it. I cannot load the film because the film
advance lever didn't turn (it can move only about 30°). The battery is
charged. I saw that the film rewind button is pressed, so i think it
error 02 on a 300d18 Oct 2004 15:42 GMT7
has anyone experienced this before?  i have just shot several photos of my
nephew using my 550ex and 300d.  I used the felock as a preflash.  exposures
looked ok and they showed up on the back screen.  Went to download them and
they aren't in my flash card.  Fitted card back to ...
Repeating flash18 Oct 2004 07:43 GMT5
Which, if any, Nikon SpeedLight models offer continuous repeating flash
adjustments?  I just noticed that my SB28 goes from 1 to 10 in
increments of 1 but then changes to increments of 10hz out to 50hz.  I
have a use for more granularity in the rate selection.  Perhaps the
scanning Kodachrome vs Elite Chrome18 Oct 2004 02:39 GMT5
I thought Elite Chrome scanned better/easier/more accurately than
Kodachrome, but since I started using Elite Chrome I have found that
the scans need more processing than the Kodachrome that I have
scanned. Is this usual?
Nikon L35AWAD - Rewind failure17 Oct 2004 23:21 GMT1
I have a Nikon L35AWAD underwater compact that I picked up at a flea
market. Works fine except for the rewind lever, which is on the base of the
camera. Turning the lever does not start the rewind, so I have to unload
the camera in a dark bag.

Tamron, Sigma, or Tokina?17 Oct 2004 03:25 GMT21
Generaly speaking, which company makes better lenses?  Tamron, Sigma,
or Tokina?
Transparency processing and scanning16 Oct 2004 22:56 GMT1
Anyone know a place in the UK where I can post / take 35mm slide film
processed and also the images scanned to CD at the same time?  I'm inspired
to ask by the exact same service provided by Fuji but (in my experience and
somewhat surprisingly) the scans are contrasty, dark and ...
Another forgery:  "Your Shoot In submission"16 Oct 2004 16:36 GMT55
Following up on the 80+ forged votes to the CFVs for
sci.techniques.microscopy.scanning-probe and soc.religion.satanism,
there is now at least one forged submission to the latest
rec.photo.equipment.35mm "shoot in" (whatever that is).  I received an
Pentax K1000 serial #16 Oct 2004 13:36 GMT3
Any one know the serial number/date correlation for K1000's. I lost one of mine
and need to replace it.  I have found numbers from 647**** to 840**** on used
ones. At least if I knew for sure that the numbers are seqential throughout the
total production run, including ones made in ...
Does the Minolta 5600HS flash work with Maxxum 7000i?15 Oct 2004 22:59 GMT6
I am considering getting the 7D with the 5600HS flash.
The 3200i flash that I used with my old 7000i died a few months ago and I
was wondering if I will be able to use the 5600HS with the 7000i (except for
the "D" features, of course)?
[SI] About b&w mandate15 Oct 2004 19:43 GMT3
Just one question...
Are we supposed to take pictures about black and white things (using
color or b&w film, or setting our digitals accordingly) or there will be
"valid" submissions b&w pictures about anything, despite of the color of
