EOS 3 Focusing Screen20 Oct 2004 06:49 GMT3
Howdy...
I'm thinking about getting an EOS 3; one of the attractions is
interchangable screens.  I'd like to use something like the Ec-B
screen for better manual focusing.
new Nikon F6 SLR20 Oct 2004 02:38 GMT23
I did a quick web search on the new Nikon F6 that was released last
month.  I noticed something a little odd.  There were half a dozen or
so reviews from people who had never actually held one in their hands,
and only 1 review from someone who had.  I guess I'll wait a little

(OT) What would it take?19 Oct 2004 21:44 GMT117
It seems, as far as the masses are concerned, that 35mm film is history. I
never considered myself one of the masses anyway, but as one who sells
cameras all day the questions arise- if peer pressure won't do it, and if
the desire to possess technology won't do it, what will it take ...
Nikon "D" lenses19 Oct 2004 18:42 GMT3
I have a Tokina ATX auto focus 80-200 2.8 zoom lens.  I'm trying to
determine whether or it's a "D" type.  I'm pretty sure it is because it has
five contact points on the rear, and according to some info on a Nikon site
this means that the lens is designed to operate with 3-D ...
sort of OT: digital camera choice19 Oct 2004 17:53 GMT6
By rights I should be posting this in the rec.photo.digital
news group, but those people know to much for this question.
I'm thinking of buying a digital camera to use for non-critical
things like ebay photos or family occasion handouts.
HARD DRIVES LOVE THE 20D !!!19 Oct 2004 15:44 GMT1
You'll need plenty of hard drive space when you start downloading all these
beautiful, huge 8.2 MP images like this one from your new 20D.

Scans from Frontier19 Oct 2004 09:47 GMT2
I got terrible scans from my favorite lab. Photo with marine sunset has
incredible noise... :( I have printed the same frame 10x15sm (~5x7in),
it was perfect. Exposure is good. So I scanned this frame in the same
lab (Frontier machine) and then printed it as 21x30sm (~8x12in). ...
kindermann projectors19 Oct 2004 06:58 GMT1
I have a used Kindermann 1500 35mm projector and I am having trouble
with the slide change maechanism.  I have looked inside and it seems
that there might be a small plastic part broken, to do with pushing
the slide back out.  Anyone got any ideas or an instruction manual on
enlarging photos18 Oct 2004 23:52 GMT2
I have a lot of photos I'd like to get reprints of, some enlarged
and scanned.
Is it better to scan them and crop and blowup on the computer or crop then
enlarge from negative then scan?  Is the quality of the print(size of grain)
