Nikon SB-600 or SB-80025 Oct 2004 16:43 GMT3
I am really stuck on this choice.
As I see it the 800 has a few more features and is a bit more powerful
than the 600. But it costs $130 more.
Are the extras on the SB-800 really worth that much more?
Nikon 35-105 AF lens opinions25 Oct 2004 15:56 GMT2
Is there a web site that decibes the PROS and CONS of this lens?.  Any
opinions from anyone in this newsgroup?. Does the front element rotate while
focusing?.
I had a weird dream last night.24 Oct 2004 21:18 GMT6
Not knowing where and whom to mention this to, here goes.
I dreamed that I was in a pawn shop. I came across this bizarre beast, a
300mm Leica-made K-mount tilt-shift lens. Yeah, I know. But in the dream,
it seemed weirdly plausible. You know how dream logic can be.

First digital camera question24 Oct 2004 06:17 GMT5
This may be the wrong NG, but I will ask my question anyway since I know of no other
NG within which to ask. I have Nikons and Leicas out the gazzu with most of the bells
and whistles, but I am getting interesting in a P&S type of digital camera. I would
put the images into my Mac ...

Remotely trigger a camera?23 Oct 2004 21:17 GMT2
What are some options to electronically remote trigger a 35mm or digital
(specifically Olympus C3040) camera, so that it will make an exposure
when something closes a circuit?
Do most consumer digitals offer this as a socket where something can be
Sale or Trade23 Oct 2004 21:14 GMT1
I have a Vivitar 75 to 205 micro Zoom Telephoto lens with a Canon mount. I
would like to either sell it, or trade it for a good Topcor lens for my
Topcon Super D .
I have no case for it, but it's in EX shape ( still has the paper passed
Zeiss Planar 1.4/50 or 1.7/50 for my Contax ?23 Oct 2004 20:39 GMT23
I can't decide between the Zeiss Planar T* 1.4/50 and the T* 1.7/50 for my
new Contax Aria.
In Photodo (www.photodo.com/nav/prodindex.html)  50/1.7 (4.6/5) has superior
MTF score than 50/1.4 (4.5/5) but in Photozone (www.photozone.de), 50/1.4 is
Your flash can damage your camera!23 Oct 2004 19:15 GMT60
When I found out that some flash units use very high trigger voltages,
several hundred volts in some cases, I was very displeased.  Not that this
presents any problem for me right now but it might in the future.  I
purchased my camera and flash in 1978 and both look and work like ...
Woohoo! IV (or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Nikon)23 Oct 2004 18:40 GMT4
Can one person have the same lucky break twice??
My first Woohoo, some time ago, was when I acquired a near-mint FM3a (Black)
from work for a bargaintastic ?100, which I sold shortly after to make quick
???s to fund more important things. Well, this time it's the same camera,
