i newly but an old Chinon SLR (CA-4). The camera was fine and fired good at different shutter speed. After a little more play the mirror went on and jammed there. It does not fire and neither wind. What is the reason for this problem and is it something I can repare myself. I

What's the conventional wisdom? When travelling with a bunch of film (a few dozen rolls of 35mm), is it prudent to keep each roll in its plastic cannister to protect it from dust/moisture/whatever, or is this just needless bulk to be dragged around?

I've got a Minolta Dynax 500Si (I think the Americans know it as the Maxxum). Not the 505, this is a 500. Yep, it's about 10 years old. I want to get a cable release for it, but the shutter button is not threaded in any way.

Hi - I used to own an FM3A in black but it was definately not the same painted finish as my previous FE2 and current FE and FM - it was more like the matt looking finish of the non-special edition Leicas. Does anyone know if this was an economy on Nikon's part over gloss

I have a Retina II type 011 which is in need of internal range/viewfinder cleaning. (belonged to a smoker) My question is how do you remove the advance knob so I can remove the top cover and gain access to the rf?
