Not completely rewinding film with N80?30 Oct 2004 01:22 GMT1
I have the Nikon N80 and would like to take the film out after taking
15 shots. How does one rewind the film so it doesn't completely rewind
and can put it back in again back to frame 15? I don't have the manual.
Thanks
Nikon F6 er, um N6?30 Oct 2004 01:01 GMT6
No doubt a capable camera, but it looks like a N80 with more buttons. They
should have called it the N6! It doesn't have that F body appeal. No
removable prism, No AA batteries, lighter weight. They upgraded a N body!
Anyone getting one?
Tripod / head for big lens30 Oct 2004 00:41 GMT6
I'm thinking about making the big plunge for a 600mm f/4.0 lens and
would appreciate any advise on tripods and heads to go with it.  I
want to be able to carry this on back-country hikes and am leaning
towards a carbon fiber tripod such as the one below as listed at B&H:

Using extension tubes?29 Oct 2004 22:35 GMT4
I have never used extension tubes and would appreciate feedback on
some questions I have about it.
1.   As I understand it the use of extension tubes is mainly used to
convert normal and telephoto lenses to macro lenses -- is that

I would like to ask about experience with the F80 and eos 30 biodies. Did
anyone ever used both? Are there any comparisons?
Thanks a lot!!

I will be using the film about 250 miles from home and I will not be
returning home for two days after it is exposed.
Kiev 35a29 Oct 2004 03:38 GMT2
I have seen some stuff about the Kiev 35A having light leaks and a so
called semi-transperant shutter.  has anyone actually seen this and
just where are the light leaks and can they easily be fixed by the
user?
R.P.D. reorg passes, use r.p.d.slr-systems29 Oct 2004 03:04 GMT34
Don't know if anybody posted this news; I haven't seen anything
(as such) on my news server yet.
All the new subgroups except rec.photo.digital.slr-systems
are irrelevant to us (and one is irrelevant to almost everyone!)

Just wonder if they will damage the camera....
Question about Slide Dynamic Range28 Oct 2004 21:38 GMT7
Is it really true that slides can record less of a range between highlight
and shadows than negative film? The reason I ask is, I finally got back the
slide film that I shot for the Backlit SI. One of the shots that I intended
to use for the SI was a shot of a spider web around ...

Can anyone direct me to a place that sells one of these? KEH doesn't seem to
have one around. Or does anyone have one to unload for a reasonable price?
