Please check the full headers!05 Oct 2004 19:09 GMT78
I apologize for the cross posting but it's necessary at this time.
As there are now several people posting using my name and address,
please check the headers to see if the post is actually coming from my
Loxinfo account or Google account. I don't use any others, nor do I
How much light?05 Oct 2004 18:24 GMT7
I am trying to decide how much light I need for setting up a fairly portable
studio flash setup. I need compact, but I also need enough light. I have
never done studio flash work and keep getting told I need more light. So
here is the big question. How much light? I will be shooting ...
Circular Polarizer and lens flare05 Oct 2004 18:21 GMT7
Would a circular polarizer be useful in
reducing lens flare problems with older
uncoated lenses?
Thanks
can you push/pull iso on individual frames?05 Oct 2004 16:39 GMT18
I was reading past usenet threads and some say that you can only
push/pull for a whole film rather than for individual frames "on the
fly". Is this true?
Say for example you have an aperture-priority semi-manual camera where
Repair of Canon winder A205 Oct 2004 13:13 GMT1
a friend of mine is looking for a repair/service manual or a
connection diagram of the Canon winder A2. It seems as if the motor
starts rotating as soon as the batteries are inserted.
In the net, we couldn't find any free sources, only manuals for

Kodak Gold 100 vs Kodak Bright Sun vs Kodak High Definition Colour Film05 Oct 2004 00:58 GMT6
Normally the only kodak colour film that I see in shops here is "Kodak
Bright Sun 100" or "Kodak High Definition" film. I have used these common
Kodak films and hated them - horrible colours, horrible grain. I normally
use Fuji Superia 100 (occassionally 400) for my everyday ...
Nikkor 45mm f2.8 AI-P04 Oct 2004 21:18 GMT2
I was finally able to acquire one of these lenses after reading a lot
of favorable user reports. The one aspect of the Nikkor lens system
that I've always regretted is the lack of a compact "normal" lens with
good out of focus characteristics. For the past 4 decades, I've used a
UK 35mm Fiilm Processing Recommendations04 Oct 2004 21:05 GMT9
Hello Group
I am interested in other peoples recommendations on where to get 35mm film
processed.  I have been using Jessops until now, and have got on well with
them until my local branch lost my photos.
SB-28 (normal) on a D70?04 Oct 2004 18:21 GMT2
I believe one would be able to use A mode, but how are the results as
opposed to TTL?

Minolta Maxxum 504 Oct 2004 17:40 GMT12
Hi.  I am planning to purchase a Minolta Maxxum 5 body and would like
advice on what lens to purchase.  The camera will be used by my wife
to take snapshots of our children (probably using the auto mode
exclusively), and by me to learn photography (my only experience with
50mm Nikon E vs Nikkor04 Oct 2004 16:47 GMT5
I have two 50mm lenses for my FE and FE2, both f/1.8:
  Nikon Series E
  Nikkor
Which is likely to produce better results?
Canon 28-135mm EF IS F/3.5-5.6 US lens04 Oct 2004 14:08 GMT24
Anybody do a home disassembly and cleaning of this lens.  I have a nasty
white hair on the outside of the second element and some dead curled-up
creepy crawly on the inside of the second rear element.  I'm not impressed
with the dust seals on this lens so far as it is only 2 months ...
Richard Avedon dies in Texas04 Oct 2004 11:24 GMT14
I am sure we all saw numerous of his photographs.
He was probably the most prolific photographer
of famous people and fashion, incl. Merlin
Monroe and even Charlie Chaplin.  Avedon died
