Studio Strobe Use with Nikon D10020 Sep 2004 05:07 GMT7
Do I need to have any concerns in using a standard shoe mounted
shoe-to-pc converter to trigger a Speedotron Brown Line studio strobe?
My main concern is with trigger voltage.
The IR-POD camera mount provides wireless positioning capabilities.20 Sep 2004 04:15 GMT1
The IR-POD camera mount provides wireless positioning capabilities.
Controlled by hand-held, TV-style remote, the IR-Pod is a  motorized
base that pans and tilts a camera. Set-up requires users to plug a
camera and a power cord into the unit and does not require computer.

Pronunciation of Nikon20 Sep 2004 01:25 GMT113
Just curious about this... Everyone I've ever met pronounces it Nick-On, but
today was listening to "Kodachrome"  by Paul Simon, and finally worked out
the lyrics to the line "I've got a Nikon camera". The thing that had
initially confused me about the lyrics was his ...

Batteries for the Minolta Dynax 800si19 Sep 2004 20:43 GMT1
I bought a used VC700 vertical control grip for this camera. It accepts
either a 2CR5 lithium or a set of AA batteries. Which types are suitable for
the latter: Alkaline, NiCd, NiMH? Which of these performs best?

same time professional style. I was thinking about softbox (with
flash), diffuser and a reflector. Any advice?

Angenieux shot: [for Peter (Bandicoot)]19 Sep 2004 00:27 GMT6
I promised to put up a shot or two taken with the Angenieux 28-70mm f/2.6
AF, well, I managed to get one up so far (I'm not the world's most
efficient webmaster!).
Here is something I took with the D70 and this lens:
What lenses for Minolta Maxxum 518 Sep 2004 19:20 GMT26
I have decided to go for a 50mm f/1.7 lens with Maxxum 5. What other
lenses should I buy? I am just a beginner with hobbyist intentions
only. I prefer shooting landscapes/panorama, the occasional portrait
that I find interesting, and indoors (parties/marriages). I rarely zoom
EOS-1 screen spot circle18 Sep 2004 18:16 GMT5

with it, apart from one thing:

David Vs. Goliath.18 Sep 2004 17:23 GMT9
I challenge those who think their cameras are superior to my yuppie toy;
Canon Rebel 2000 *Film Camera* to a competition. Take your best shot and
let RPE35 and RPED vote on who the winner is. So that this competition
is between cameras, you must shoot at 50mm. Maybe this competition ...
