Converter to Allow Use of Minolta Manual Focus Lenses With Autofocus Cameras? 25 Sep 2004 03:21 GMT2
Using Google I tracked down this message I left some months ago. A company
answered me directly saying they did sell them. I has a system crash and
lost all e-mail. I had to completely reload windows. Hoping you see this
message again.
Tripods for Macro Work: Bogen 3021PRO vs Gitzo Explorer G2220 vs Uni-Loc Minor 160024 Sep 2004 23:07 GMT1
I'm shopping around for a serious macro tripod for mushroom photography
and have pretty much narrowed it down to either the Bogen/Manfrotto
3021PRO, the Gitzo Explorer G2220, or the Uni-Loc Minor 1600.
The Gitzo Explorer seems to be kind of the standard in macro
Ctein reviews UC 100/400, Portra 80024 Sep 2004 20:43 GMT1
The September/October 2004 issue of Photo Techniques magazine
contains a Ctein review of these new films.
He doesn't have anything terribly new to say about the UC films,
but considering that I had given up on Portra 800, I found his
Stupid question24 Sep 2004 18:26 GMT4
I 'accidentally' took out the len from my 35 mm camera body. Did it
ruin the film inside already?
Thanks!
Nikon 35mm SLR: manual focus vs. auto focus24 Sep 2004 17:35 GMT34
Dear Gurus,
Since an AF Nikon 35mm SLR will also have the capacity to do manual
focus, I am wondering what is the advantage in general of an MF Nikon
over an AF Nikon. I understand that an AF one probably will be bulkier
Novopan 100 Plus DX24 Sep 2004 17:17 GMT3
Camera world is very bad!!!24 Sep 2004 17:10 GMT5
I ordered a new Canon digital camera from Camera World of Oregon and
paid for overnight shipping on items that they claim to have in stock.
But on the next day, FedEx never came and when I called them, they
refuse to give me tracking number but insists that it's been shipped
Lenses from 195x and 196x?24 Sep 2004 05:56 GMT5
Does some of these lenses really have a nicer "look" than most current
designs?
I know some of them are very good performers as I from time to time take
pictures with some old Voigtl?nder lenses.....but I have never made a direct

No Kodachrome in Australia24 Sep 2004 04:35 GMT1
I have just spoken to the Kodak customer care on their Kodachrome
hotline 1800 339 513 and was told I can no longer buy Kodachrome in
Australia, once present supplies run out.
What other slide film can I use that matchs the archival properties of
Nikon FM3a vs F100 regarding noise.24 Sep 2004 01:28 GMT11
I am thinking of buying an FM3a for my candid street photography. It
should be rather quite as there is no motor drive. The only noise I have
to worry about the mirror slap.
I have handled an F100 once and was very impressed with its smooth
Shooting a church service23 Sep 2004 23:04 GMT28
I may be shooting  a church service this week. The primary lighting will be
candles and I'm pretty sure flash will be a no go. I was planning on
shooting with my Canononet G III QL 17. I'm thinking of going right to 3200
speed B&W and just under exposing by 2 stops (Meter tops out ...
ISO 3200?23 Sep 2004 14:08 GMT24
It's possible with the new Canon 20D.
