Would it make sense to upgrade to a Nikon F6 from an F100? I'm not a professional and I'm using the F100 for general photography. I also have the FM2 and following lenses: MF 24mm f/2.8

Here's a test shot I took of The Mighty Jewel tonight using only available light (from a ceiling fan). This is an actual-sized crop, but it's still a big file. http://www.pbase.com/bret/image/34174309/original

| Olympus OM-10 problem | 30 Sep 2004 14:26 GMT | 3 |
I just bought an OM-10 that appears to be in good shape. Without film in it, it seems to work fine. When I put film in it, I can take a picture or two then the shutter intermittently releases itself while I'm winding the camera (every other shot, or so).

| [SI] Bowser's shot | 30 Sep 2004 01:48 GMT | 5 |
Another week, another business trip. This shot is from the pier at Santa Monica, CA (USA). During the late afternoon, the local poor and homeless (not my opinion, but according to the local police) take over the pier to fish for some dinner, and this person was one of the many ...

| Macro questions | 30 Sep 2004 01:47 GMT | 16 |
I have a Canon EOS 300v (Rebel ti) and want to experiment with macro. I have read opinions and reviews and have probably concluded which lens would suit what I want, but have still a couple of questions. I've seen people mentioning sizes like 1:4, 1:2, 1:1 (is that the maximum??)

Hi - I have seen recommendations on the most basic filters you need. One of these is to have a graduated neutral density filter. Unfortunately there appear to be various different styles - for example the Cokin page here http://www.cokin.com/ico3-p6-8.html has

| Telescopes and Cameras | 29 Sep 2004 07:23 GMT | 6 |
Night photography is difficult, from what I have read. So I would imagine this is even more difficult, having a camera mounted on a telescope and taking photo graphs that way. I would think that the exposure times are too long to get useful photos of moving objects no?

| A very stupid photographer | 29 Sep 2004 03:13 GMT | 11 |
Maybe this subject just didn't want his picture taken, and maybe a case can be made for available light here, but the sheer stupidity of some photographers never ceases to amaze me. "Rack" one up for the animal. The following just moved on the news wires:

| Old slides v recent slides | 29 Sep 2004 02:29 GMT | 5 |
I am about to try slide film for the first time since I bought a Tamron lens. I used slide film for 30+ years with a couple of SLRs, Pentax and Minolta, Since I started using a Pentax MZ50 and later a Pentax *ist, both with a Sigma 28-80 lens I have not been satisfied
