Question: How to adjust meter on FE216 Aug 2004 19:24 GMT4
One of my Nikon FE2's meter is off about 1 1/3 stop. I set ISO to 100 and
exposure compasation to 0 on both FE2 and N80(in CW mode), use the same len
to meter north sky, on N80 is 1/90 & f/16, on FE2 is close to 1/30 & f16.
FE2 has new battery and clean focus screen.
wide angle filters16 Aug 2004 18:47 GMT3
Hi Group,
I already have a 72mm wide angle polarizer filter. Would that work on
72mm telephoto lens? I guess what I'm really saying is: are there any
differences between a normal filter and a "wide angle" one, other than
will frequent use of mirror lockup shorten lifespan of mirror mechanism?16 Aug 2004 18:13 GMT9
Hi, I plan to use 2 seconds mirror lockup for every shot (canon
digital rebel), besides getting the benefit of mirror lockup, also as
a 2 sec timer so I don't have to buy a remote control.
my question is, with every shot mirror locked up for 2 seconds, will
TSA hates my tripod----->16 Aug 2004 15:00 GMT6
A follow up to an earlier thread about traveling with a tripod.
Well, TSA did it again. Checked in my tripod. Seeing how they have
always trashed my tripod in the past I figured I'd help them out a
bit. Disassembled all but the head from the center column, removed all
1DS or 10D16 Aug 2004 08:23 GMT2
Folks
I have a 10D and love it.  I am financial at the moment and can afford to
upgrade from my 10D.  However, I am very satisfied with all of its features
and am not sure what I will get for the extra bucks I can afford on the 1DS
Photo bagpack16 Aug 2004 01:40 GMT1
I know it's not reallt 35mm, but at least it's for my 35mm camera gear ;-)
I was today looking at different backpacks for my photo "hikes". I
usually do full day (6+ hours) hikes and need both food and around 1Gal
of water when I hike. My goal is to just carry a single bag, if not ...
[SI] "Old Stuff" now posted!16 Aug 2004 01:14 GMT1
       http://www.pbase.com/shootin/oldstuff
So I had mine right from the start, because I shot it the same night
I finished up my Entrance & Exit entry. But I just didn't bother moving it
into the Oldstuff folder for a while, and let others stack in there. And

Is anybody really minding the store at Kodak?15 Aug 2004 02:25 GMT5
I was on the Kodak site and clicked on the link for "Management Team,"
and got a "page not found" error.  I think that just about says it all.

Question .....  15 Aug 2004 00:23 GMT5
When you have film developed and have a CD Rom made instead of
receiving prints do you have the same flexibility to edit photographs as a
digital image taken from a digital camera?. What size are the Jpegs that are
put onto the CD Rom?
[SI] Bowser's Old Shot14 Aug 2004 14:22 GMT1
A day early, but I'm gone for another week starting tomorrow...
My shot is of a few of the oldest living things on the planet, the
Bristlecone Pines. The shot was taken in the Patriach Grove, located in the
Inyo mountains at about elevation 13,000' above sea level. Velvia 100F,
Minolta X-370 Stopped14 Aug 2004 03:28 GMT1
When I press the shutter release, nothing happens at all.
I can't advance the film winder either, with film or without.
I replaced the two batteries, but that didn't help.
I'm hoping I'm doing or not doing something really obvious.

Better focussing than a Yashica Electro 3513 Aug 2004 17:47 GMT6
Wanting to try a "proper"-ish camera a couple of years ago I bought a
Yashica Electro 35 for GBP 30. I'd previously been using an XA2 but
was frustrated with too many shots being out of focus due to the guess
focus system (the XA2 does not have the coupled rangefinder).
Tamron 24mm f2.513 Aug 2004 15:26 GMT1
I'm trying to get some opinions on this lens - the little bit of
googling I've done have brought up either very positive reviews
(photographyreview.com) or else it gets an absolute panning.
Anyone got comparative experience of using it?
