Spotmeter on Minolta maxxum 521 Aug 2004 16:37 GMT3
when I set custom-setting 10 to 2 on my Minolta maxxum 5 I thought the
camera would meter the spot-area and adjust the shutterspeed and
aperture all the time.
Unfortunately it only does this right one time, when I hit the

Hi ppl
I was wandering if warm-tint filters are still used by photographers.
I mean the 81A, 81B and 81C filters. Are they really usefull or can

FS: Canon EOS 1V HS camera, EF L lenses20 Aug 2004 23:46 GMT1
This camera body has only be used as a back-up, having seen no more than a
dozen rolls of film in use. Professionals will atest to the fact that this
is Canon's top of the line 35mm film camera, loaded with far too many
features to post here. Also available are Canon's EF 17-35mm f2 ...
Canon Rebel battery life20 Aug 2004 22:38 GMT3
I have a Canon Rebel 35mm that is about 12 years old.  It has always
worked good.  But recently it has begun to really use the battery
power.  I bought a battery for it several months ago and shot about one
roll of film.  And most of the pictures did not use the flash.  I am
Damn you Canon!20 Aug 2004 21:03 GMT4
If the low noise at ISO 1600 on the 20D is true, I will have to find
some way to whore myself to get cash to upgrade.
Anybody want locks of my hair?  Used underwear?  Pictures of me in
women's clothing?  I'll do it!
Nick on rear element of lens20 Aug 2004 19:30 GMT3
I have the chance to get a lens that I have been wanting for  while.
However, the lens is described as having a very small "nick" on the rear
element, described by the seller has being the "size of a needle point."
My question is, how much will this affect the image quality, if any. ...
Need to find someone to shorten an SC-17 20 Aug 2004 09:39 GMT7
I have to 5 foot SC-17 and need to find someone who will shorten it.
I'm not looking for a volunteer (sheesh) I'm looking for someone who
does this a lot (and I'm just missing the correct Google words to find
him)   I did find someone in cyberland but it was years ago and I
The D60's parting shot...20 Aug 2004 03:16 GMT3
Here is a job I was commissioned to do last month:

This is actually two shots, one exposed for the shop and the other for the

PGA Championship:  lots of Nikon shooters20 Aug 2004 03:08 GMT4
I took note of many of the photographers at yesterday's PGA Championship.
Surprisingly, the Nikon shooters seemed to equal the number of Canon
shooters.
Although the number of Canon cameras probably outnumbered the number of

OK Please tell me what the catch is here?!?20 Aug 2004 02:30 GMT8
Hello:  I have never bought anything from ebay, but I found this:
http://tinyurl.com/5c9ty  a $5400.00 lens that is opening at $199.  There
was one on there yesterday that went for $1000!
What is the catch here.  It's got to be a scam, NO?
FM2 focus screen question19 Aug 2004 19:19 GMT1
1. Can Nikon's new K3 screen be used on FM2? If yes, how much exposure
compensation is needed?
2. I heard that Canon T90's focus screen can be used on FM2 and is brighter
than Nikon's K2. Has anyone replaced K2 with Canon or Minolta screen and had
