| Maxxum 7 diopter question. | 15 Jul 2004 19:34 GMT | 4 |
I am thinking of upgrading from my old Canon A-1 to a Maxxum 7.The specifications of the Maxxum 7 state that there is a diopter adjustment of -2.5 to +0.5. (It also seems to be fact that the viewfinder in any 35mm camera itself presents a -1 diopter shift.) I am farsighted so to see ...

| Film questions | 15 Jul 2004 19:16 GMT | 4 |
I am going to be importing some film in bulk from B&H in the next few weeks, but I need to find out a few things first. 1. What are user opinions of the New Velvia 100? How does the saturation compare to the original 50ISO Velvia?

| Equipment Survey | 15 Jul 2004 12:57 GMT | 61 |
The Olympus/Pentax thread has peaked my curiosity. So I am going to ask. 1. What was your first 35mm camera? 2. What do you currently shoot? 3. If you could start over, what would you buy now and why?

| Choice of Nikon F mount wideangle lens | 15 Jul 2004 11:23 GMT | 19 |
I'm hoping maybe someone can shed some light on this, because it's kinda bugging me. I've bought a Fuji S2 and tried out a really cheap lens, the Sigma 18-50DC. It was so awful that I took it back and bought the Sigma 28-70EX f2.8, which

| Camera eats batteries like crazy | 15 Jul 2004 00:37 GMT | 4 |
It seems like two last batteries have allowed exposing only couple of films. I have Canon EOS 3. I do not even use flash, and IS does not cause that kind of power loss. At the end of last year the camera got some water inside it, and was

| why isn't olympus as highly regarded as it should be? | 14 Jul 2004 21:16 GMT | 40 |
I'm slowly finding that i'm becoming, without intending to, an olympus collector. They seem to have made some wonderful cameras over the years. When I research the best compacts the Olympus XA and Olympus Stylus (mju) were insane hits. When i think of rangefinders I totally

| Which Minolta HSS flash, 3600HS (D) or 5400HS? | 14 Jul 2004 20:51 GMT | 13 |
I am buying a HSS flash for my Maxxum 70. Currently the 3600HS (D) and the 5400HS are about the same in price. Since I don't own many D series lenses (one to be exact), I am wondering if the 5400HS is actually a better buy. What do you think? Does anyone actually find

I am not new to photography, but new to film choice. I usually use Jessops, Kodak and Fuji 200 film, and am happy with the results, but there again I am not experienced in this field. I have been looking on the internet for 35mm negative film choices, but it
