Recommend a Point & Shoot 35mm w/Flash and Manual modes??18 Jul 2004 04:13 GMT21
If you read my other post, you will know that I bought my APS
just to get a quick and dirty fully-auto
camera with built-in flash.  But I was thinking lately that i would
prefer a fully-auto 35mm (with auto-focus), that also had full manual
Leica M318 Jul 2004 03:35 GMT3
I came across a early serial number M3 which indicate it's originally a
double stroke film advance body.  But this particular one has been modified
to single stroke.
Does this devaluate the camera for resale?
Canon T60 as a second body. Good or bad Choice???18 Jul 2004 02:13 GMT1
I've been considering a second camera for some time now and have been
eyeing the Canon T60 to go along with my current T70.  Is the T60 a
fairly decent Camera or are there some serious flaws I should be
worried about.  I have a large selection of FD lenses and am on a

battery storage?17 Jul 2004 21:30 GMT2
Does anybody have any feeling  on the best way to store batteries?
Litium and silver oxide. I bought  a pile of batteries for cameras and a
meter when it turned out that buying 10 of them was cheaper then buying one
locally. I know some will likely go dead before I get to them ...
Nikon AIS on D7017 Jul 2004 05:49 GMT22
I am curious to hear from people who have used AIS manual focus lenses on
the D70. I would imagine that one would lose all metering but I was
looking in the B&H catalog and an ad for the D70 says that it accepts AIS
lenses.
Digital / wet darkroom print. Which u prefer receiving ?17 Jul 2004 02:23 GMT3
Imagine a friend giving you a photograph as present. The photograph is
about an important event in your family. You friend was the photographer.
Do you prefer getting a photo printed on state-of-the-art inkjet printer
with ink that can last for 100 years. This is made by Photoshop ...

[SI] A reminder, and Ping Bandicoot16 Jul 2004 03:24 GMT1
Just a reminder to all those waiting to offer a mandate. Because of
Dave Bouvier's withdrawal from the list, everyone has moved up two weeks in
the schedule. This means that our next mandate, to be announced tomorrow
(Friday July 16) falls to Bandicoot.
Need Online Processor That Makes Post Cards16 Jul 2004 02:33 GMT1
I need to locate an online processor that can take a digital file and create
5x7" postcards.  My regular processor, Ofoto, does not offer this service.
Ideally, I would prefer a processor that prints onto silver halide paper
using real photo dyes as Ofoto does, not inkjet or ...
reflected light vs incident light metering16 Jul 2004 00:27 GMT17
I was reading Kodak Color handbook (a very old collection of booklets
from Kodak, possibly late 60's), where there is a long treatment of
various techniques.
There is a statement in that book that surprised me:
Canon "known issue" with DOF ?15 Jul 2004 19:54 GMT14
I just got off the phone with Canon NJ factory, inquiring about my lens I
sent in with a DOF prob.  I was told that this is a 'known issue' and that
sometimes just the lens is at fault and sometimes it is the camera
interfacing with the lens.  As they are holding the lens for ten ...
