Any thought's on Pacific Image Film Scanners - Like  the PF3650U has anyone used it yet?21 Jul 2004 13:39 GMT2
Any thought's on Pacific Image Film Scanners - Like  the PF3650U has anyone
used it yet?  The review of an earlier 1800u using Cold cathode fluorescent
lamp design having Lamp Failure is worrisome however, this new PF3650U has
an White & Infrared LED Array For the record I sure ...
Add your "Best" camera to the list21 Jul 2004 11:50 GMT33
Over the years I have seen a number of outstanding cameras.  I am not
talking bout the most advanced, or best made, rather I am talking about
those cameras that have done an outstanding job of fitting the needs of the
public, both pro/advanced and Aunt Fran.
Laminating prints21 Jul 2004 09:50 GMT4
Does laminating a print change its longevity, fading time, etc.?

Tripod questions21 Jul 2004 05:10 GMT19
Many people recommend Gitzo tripods, and I've seen a lot of photographers use
them.  So that made me interested in them, and I took a look at them on the
web.  But they all seem to have leg locks that screw tight, rather than use
some sort of quick release.  I had a cheap tripod ...
Where Has All The Tri-X Gone?21 Jul 2004 00:56 GMT6
B&H no longer offers grey market Tri-X, and their USA Tri-X is out of
stock.  Please tell me Kodak hasn't made the mother of all bad
decisions - no Tri-X.

What photo cliches annoy you?20 Jul 2004 22:44 GMT64
Currently, for me, the cliche that annoys me the most is a mostly
black and white photo with a colorified bright-color object, such as a
red boat or a yello shirt.. or a blue bandana etc
You know those photoes; it seems everyone gotta do some these day.
Best Cameras for the New User, My Opinions20 Jul 2004 21:31 GMT37
THese are my opinions and they are backed up by discussions with many
Repairmen and Repair Authors and reading good books, such as
Lippincott's, Tomosy's, and especially by the Dean of Hobby Camera
Educators, Ed Romney...
Deluxe PS cameras (Ricoh GRx, Nikon xxTi, etc)20 Jul 2004 19:56 GMT33
I would like to get a better ps camera, one that gives me greater
control, than my stylus epic. I understand that companies like Nikon
and Ricoh have produced certain "deluxe" ps cameras, but I am not
familiar with them.
Film Choice20 Jul 2004 18:33 GMT2
I was wondering what the better film would be for pushed exposures.  I
normally use NPZ, and have never tried Press 800.  I am looking to push to
1600 - 2000 range.  I prefer fine grain and as little color shift as
possible.
