Nikon VR  28-70 28 AFS Lens22 Jul 2004 23:52 GMT3
Are we going to see this lens any time soon? I think it is reasonable to
expect Nikon will come out with such a lens? Any rumors? Regards.
HELP: New vs. Used SLR22 Jul 2004 19:25 GMT13
I'm almost afraid to bring up another Nikon vs. Canon, but there is so much
opinions out there, I'm hesitant to make this decision on my own.
I'm looking between a USED Nikon N70 ($120ish for just body)
vs. a NEW Rebel Ti ($230 for body & 35-80 EFIII lense)
Canon 550EX speedlite flash22 Jul 2004 19:09 GMT9
Anybody using multiple Canon 550EX's?  Any comments on the IR functions?
Any problems?  Recycle times OK with NiMH's?
Thanks,
Jim Kramer

So I spend a couple of hours, I think, typing these all up,
spellcheck them, look 'em over again, then log onto the group and find
Matt's ahead of me by only minutes ;-)

Anyone exhibited?22 Jul 2004 18:17 GMT10
This may just be pipe dreaming (and you don't want to know what's in the
pipe...) but I was thinking of maybe getting some work exhibited in local
galleries with an eye to maybe getting something published. Anyone ever had
their work in an exhibition, and can offer advice?
Is Fuji Reala 100 a good choice for floral macros?22 Jul 2004 16:52 GMT6
I have been experimenting with Fuji Reala 100 negative film in my old
Minolta XG-7 and scanning with an admittedly-cheaper HP-3970 flatbed
scanner.
This scanner has worked well with old and new Kodacolor negatives

Judging by your other work, I know you can make a great composition.
This picture meets the mandate, but has a little bit of a 'amateur
Is GR1s/v available at any store anywhere?22 Jul 2004 15:11 GMT1
I am  interested in purchasing a Ricoh gr1/gr1s/gr1v (but not gr10 or
gr21). Besides Ebay, is it available anywhere in the world? Thank you
for any help.
Pan-F Plus and Street Photography22 Jul 2004 15:07 GMT8
I know this is counterintuituve to all that is assumed about street
photography.  I want to try shooting some ISO 50 in the mid-afternoon
sun here in Baltimore.  I want to try to provide seperation, through
selective focus and narrower DOF, between my main pedestrian subjects

Shot with a 28mm lens on Fuji Velvia 50--hand held!!!  Madness, I know, but
my tripod won't go down to 2 inches!  The focus leaves something to be
desired as a result.  Obviously I need to try it again with Velvia 100F and

Wildlife photography/Cow wants to bite22 Jul 2004 02:01 GMT11
Been on vacation, I live in the Bronx
I wanted to take some photos of cows in the pens in upstate. After getting
permission from a farmer
I hopped over the fence with my EOS1V some carets and the females could care
