Mortarboard tradition - which side does the tassle go after receiving the diploma?16 Jun 2004 23:08 GMT9
I'm photographing some high school grads next week.  Most will be

deal as well as the above.  I've reserved a rental gown and

Tamron, or Tokina, do these measure up to Nikkor in this focal ...

Book Review:  Collecting and Using Classic Cameras , Ivor Matanle16 Jun 2004 21:04 GMT1
A useful but not authoritative text

contemporary use, and for that alone he deserves a certain kudos.
*Minolta Users* - How was the transition from 800si to Maxxum 7??16 Jun 2004 17:04 GMT2
I haven't written to this board for a long time although I have been
browsing. I currently have an 800si and am thinking of switching to a
Maxxum 7. I really like the added features, like the 9 AF sensors,
distance technology, rear LCD, etc.  It's also *much* lighter that my

Inch thread for standard tripod mount16 Jun 2004 09:15 GMT7
I am seeking the right designation for a standard tripod-mount thread. I
have two Olympus OM2 and want to mount them together to make
stereoscopic pictures. But I did not found a single screw shop here in
germany, where one could sell me a screw with an inch-thread. I found an
