My father has a Maxxum 7000, which he bought with a 30-70 zoom lens with macro mode. He’s bought a few other lenses over the years but this zoom is his primary and it is beginning to fall apart. The camera is still in good shape. Yes it’s older than dirt,

| [OT] Man I'm getting frustrated! | 20 Jun 2004 02:51 GMT | 11 |
Here I am, sitting on my a.s trying to watch TV, and there's all these channels that suck! Home Shopping Network, CBN, MTV, and the list goes on and on! Stupid shows that never change, no matter how much or how loudly I shout at the TV! And there's dozens of them!

| Another Modest Idea-Fast Flash Sync | 19 Jun 2004 21:09 GMT | 6 |
Although I could care less about fast flash sync, it appears to me there is a fix for the sufficiently motivated. Several MF cameras use in-lens leaf shutters. It should be possible to adapt one to a 35mm system body. I didn't say easy, I said

| From a good source: Nikon plans already to drop compact film cameras | 19 Jun 2004 06:36 GMT | 2 |
I saw this 2 days ago at Reuters, what is a serious source of information, and not just a rumor. Nikon's president of imaging division Kimura states: "Our basic plan is to ramp production of the D70 to 90,000 units, but we

| Wedding photographers - is 28-75 long enough? | 19 Jun 2004 05:39 GMT | 25 |
For most weddings, do you think a 35mm-equivalent zoom max'ing out at 75mm is long enough? Seems like 28mm is more than wide enough. That's it, thanks.

Took this one tonight with the Totally Digital D60, of course. http://www.pbase.com/image/30282325 The F-104 Starfighter is easily identified by it's sound. It's almost a whistle when it goes by. Of course, it sounds more like thunder when the

| Olympus RC vs Rollei 35 | 18 Jun 2004 22:55 GMT | 11 |
Cameraquest seems to suggest that the Olympus RC may be a better camera than the Rollei 35. I'm considering the Olympus RC as a potential future purchase, how does it compare to rollei 35 in your opinion?

| Best P&S under $300? | 18 Jun 2004 22:19 GMT | 17 |
First off - I hope that I'm in the correct newsgroup for this question: I'm in the market for a 35mm point and shoot camera. I can't spend much more than $300. Most of my photos are of family, friends, etc - just your regular stuff. I've been using a cheap APS camera the past few ...
