| Weird Film Scan Situation | 30 Jun 2004 14:33 GMT | 6 |
I am mystified by the CD's I just got back from my photolab. I asked them to scan a roll of slide film at "medium resolution" (3000x2000 according to their literature) and also at "high resolution" (6000x4000) so I could see the difference.

| Pentax PZ1 Question | 30 Jun 2004 04:27 GMT | 4 |
I just got my PZ1 back from Pentax after it being broken for about 18 months. Anyway I'm trying to learn to use it again after all this time and for the life of me I can't figure out why the metering system will not select one of the long shutter speed settings in low light ...

| megapixel equivalent of 35mm scanned at 4800 dpi ? | 29 Jun 2004 21:47 GMT | 36 |
I'm considering purchasing a 4800 dpi film scanner. I wonder what the meqapixel equivalent for a 35mm 4800 dpie scan would be. Also, is the epson 4870 flatbed a good choice or would it be better to get a minolta 3200 dedicated film scanner (the little boxy kind)?

| Noblex rewind crank | 29 Jun 2004 19:45 GMT | 3 |
I have a Noblex Prosport panoramic camera and the manufacturer thoughtfully gave this $1000 camera a cheap plastic rewind crank. Naturally it broke in two pieces. Has anyone else had this problem, and is there an easy solution?

| Basic Minolta flash questions | 28 Jun 2004 17:06 GMT | 5 |
If the camera (Maxxum 7) is set to f/8 in A-mode, does setting the flash (5600 HS) compensation dial to +1 change the flash output to f/5.6 or f/11? (My guess is the former). Flash is in TTL-mode. Why does the flash range (as shown on the flash's display panel)
