Bluetooth GPS and digital cameras - what's the deal?31 Jul 2009 17:26 GMT18
I have the vague impression that there are some digital cameras that
have bluetooth that can communicate with nearby external GPS receivers
for the purpose of getting GPS coordinate information that is then
stored or integrated into any pictures taken while the GPS is

Pentax K7 apparently noisier than the K20D30 Jul 2009 04:28 GMT27
Nice body.  Small, strong and weather sealed (metal), great, near
silent shutter.  Focus seems pretty quick to.  But, high ISO images
are a tad noisy.  So much so that I don't think this will match the
Canon and Nikon crop gear for detail and noise control at higher ISOs.

The good old days of rpd28 Jul 2009 23:58 GMT21
I can remember when this was a relatively young newsgroup.  By far the
majority of the messages involved arguments about which was better,
digital or film.
The good news is that those arguments have finally died out.

Sony alpha question28 Jul 2009 06:52 GMT5
On the viewfinder in between AE lok, and the camera shake warning,
is a number that according to the manual is the shots-remaining
counter. This number is always a 2 or a 9 depending on the mode dial
setting.

> If you have Nikon’s new flip-screen DSLR, the D5000, and it won’
switch on, it’s because Nikon didn’t make it properly. A componen
glitch is causing some D5000s to remain resolutely off, even with
full battery or when hooked up to the mains. From the officia
