Coolpix?30 Nov 2008 14:35 GMT11
What model of Coolpix is available that would have super high ISO so I
could take existing light photos in higher speeds, that's highly rated,
and between $100-$200 new.

Need advice for an on-line printing service30 Nov 2008 06:33 GMT5
I've shot hundreds of photos of HS football this year, and would like to
post them somewhere so the parents can view and order prints, if they want.
Also, if there's some way I can make a little money off the sales, that
would be good. What site is best for this use?
CHDK RAW file-saving time boosted + DNG option30 Nov 2008 05:16 GMT31
Cool, the latest builds of CHDK have speeded up RAW+JPG file saving time now of
1.080 to 1.100 seconds on my camera. It has an option to display the file-write
time on each shot so you can see the speed you are getting. Continuous RAW at
1fps up to the size of the card. Nice.
Digitalcamera -> Papierabzüge Formatprobleme29 Nov 2008 23:40 GMT9
Front Element Condition29 Nov 2008 09:39 GMT42
I ran across this demonstration (three images) the other day.  It's pretty
good.  And succinct.

Renumbering sequence of filenames?29 Nov 2008 08:05 GMT28
For reasons best known to itself, my Canon Powershot decided to reset
its filename sequence back to zero, so although my library of photos had
incremented up to the filename IMG_1432.JPG, I suddenly find myself with
a new set of photos starting back at IMG_0001.JPG again.  What a ...
scratches on view screen29 Nov 2008 07:28 GMT10
I've noticed a number of surface scrathes on the view screen of my digi cam.
Short of sending the camera to Canon for replacement does anyone know of anything
I can do about the scratches?

cheapest way to transfer film negatives to digital photos?29 Nov 2008 04:24 GMT9
H I have about 200 film negatives. What's the cheapest way to transfer
them to digital photos? Wall green/CVS charges like 8 dollars for a cd
of 24 I think.
Thnx

Nikon D700x expected announcement date Dec 2028 Nov 2008 22:15 GMT84
The expected announcement date for the D700x is Dec. 20. D700x has
everything the D700 has, except the shooting rate at full resolution.
The sensor is 24+ MP - while Nikon isn't officially admitting this,
it is the one used in the Sony alpha-900. The D700 will be officially

for around £100?
Thank you
Nikon D700x may see the light of day as D900 (D800??)28 Nov 2008 18:27 GMT6
Nikon D700x will see the light of day as the D800 or D900, or
so my bud says. Remember old F801 and its role as the first
Nikon with usable AF, the first with a 1/8,000s shutter (a 5
year record, broken by the Minolta 9000's 1/12,000s)? So a
Epson R300 - Anything Different About the Ink?28 Nov 2008 03:00 GMT6
Is there anything different about the ink used in the R300 from the
ink used in other Epson photo printers other than it's in separate
cartridges?  I'm thinking about cloggability in particular.
TIA
