| weird screen issue | 08 Aug 2008 09:29 GMT | 3 |
I have an 8 month old 8MP Canon digital camera (point and shot). Just this morning I notice a slight black smear appearing in the lower left corner on the 3 inch LCD screen. This is something in the display (ie not on it). I notice the smudge changes how dark it is based on the

| The sensor aspect ratio debate... | 08 Aug 2008 06:56 GMT | 15 |
...is retarded. The optimal shape for a sensor is round. Why aren't we ALL just insisting that the manufacturers follow this rather than fighting over whether 4:3 or 3:2 is better? When you get the FULL coverage of the lens, you can just crop it to whatever aspect you damn

This might be fun. Yesterday, I took two pictures. One with a Canon SD890IS and a second with a Nikon D300 with the Nikon 18-200 mm zoom. I've posted them at: http://www.classtech.com/DSLR_PS_Smackdown/

| Where to buy Nikon D3 body in the UK | 07 Aug 2008 08:42 GMT | 22 |
I wish to buy a Nikon D3 body, but are not too sure where to get it from. I'm looking for the cheapest *decent* place. I looked at Simply Electronics (the cheapest I could find at 2548), but a search of the internet reveals they are not too decent/honest and are

I have scanned some photos and I'm trying to show them on TV via my camera (Sony DSCF828). I'm having very limited success. I have run them through David Taylor's TV Writer and through Irfanview. I don't know why one will work and the others won't. There has to be a simple ...

It's been a long time since posting, so this may be goofed up. But I've owned a Pentax K10D DSLR for about 1 year, and am still finding things about it that confuse me. Recently I wanted to take some flash shots with a new Sigma 180mm

| First P&S that may "may" not be a piece of crap? | 07 Aug 2008 05:25 GMT | 43 |
Sick of the idiocy of the ultrazoom, itty-bitty sensored junk that they sell as P&S's today? Maybe this one will be different. An f2 lens! Shades of 2001 and the Olympus C-3040!! A conservative zoom range and a larger sensor.
