What digital photo management and editing program for a dummy?25 Aug 2008 06:23 GMT7

family photos on film over the years. Today she has a digital camera
and, while giving it a good shot initially, takes hardly any pictures
any more. The reason is that it is too difficult for her.

use of a head mounted display in photography25 Aug 2008 02:18 GMT5
Has anyone ever tried using a head mounted display (HMD) in
photography?

Want point and shot with wide angle capability24 Aug 2008 21:54 GMT18
The zoom on my Olympus C-4000 just won't go wide enough for some of my
shots. Are there any good point and shoot digitals out there that can zoom
to "28mm equivalent". (I loved using a 28mm lens on my 35mm camera.) BTW, I
can live without telephoto zoom.

Looking through a viewfinder with one eye is useless and the size of these
things is ridiculous!

A strobe question: What do I do to improve this shot?24 Aug 2008 10:22 GMT12
What can I do to improve the crap lighting in this shot?

I'm under no illusion that a single stobe can light the entire room.
I'm using a Canon G9 and a 420EX strobe. The camera is in full auto
more 990 coolpix ??24 Aug 2008 01:00 GMT28
I got ahead of myself and forgot to ask these questions in my first
query.
Several of the used 990s I've seen had broken battery compartment doors.
Mine is OK and I want it to stay that way, so what breaks them?

How Thick Paper Can I Use?22 Aug 2008 11:01 GMT2
I've got a Canon Pixma MP760.  I'd like to use some pretty thick card
stock, but it's out of the package, so I don't know the weight or mil
thickness.
When I look at the paper specs in the Canon manual, it only shows that the
