Battery charger recommendation04 Aug 2008 21:51 GMT4
So what's a good battery charger nowadays?  I'd like one that can
charge 4 AA batteries independently, can be used worldwide, and can be
used with eneloops.
Reducing picture size.04 Aug 2008 15:21 GMT22
I have many digital images of about 5Mb in
size.
What is the best way to reduce these in size
to about 1Mb to save space?
Recommend good multi-purpose lens for Canon EOS 400D (new SLR user)?04 Aug 2008 15:05 GMT8
This is my first SLR camera, and I've read that the lens it comes with
may not be the best for what I want to use it for. I do a lot of
walking and I'd like to be able to take v. clear pictures of small
things like flowers and insects. That's my priority, but I'd also like
Kelvin Scale - Digital Photography04 Aug 2008 00:35 GMT13
I have read that increasing the "warmth" of the Kelvin setting
improves sunrises/sunsets. My camera does not use the Kelvin scale and
I have been experimenting using the three fluorescent settings on my
Fuji S5200, which adds a little yellow, red, or both to a picture.
Fuji FinePix 2650 won't connect03 Aug 2008 11:57 GMT2
I have a Fuji FinePix 2650 that when I try to connect to my PC nothing
happens. The screen on the camera says "USB" and "DSC", but the device
is not recognized in the FinePix Viewer. I downloaded a USB driver
(version 3.2) that says it will work with this model number from
Close-Up/Telephoto/Fisheye Lenses For Fixed-Lens Cameras03 Aug 2008 00:59 GMT5
Has anyone used telephoto or close-up lenses that attach directly to
the lens of a fixed-lens camera?  For some time, I have been looking
at lenses such as these:

What causes subject to appear far away?02 Aug 2008 16:02 GMT14
I have a Canon 20D with a Canon 17-85mm EFS lens.   When taking a
photo of a skyline from across a lake, or close up of a mountain, all
of these subjects look very large with the naked eye.   In the photo,
they look like a little spec.   Whether I zoom or not, I can't get

Homemade diffuser (on camera)01 Aug 2008 15:39 GMT31
Got an indoor cocktail party/silent auction shoot coming up, and I
need suggestions on a good homemade diffuser which will be used on-
camera.  I've used a milk jug, to some pretty good results, but it's a
little bulky to be lugging around.  Isopropyl alcohol bottle?
