I have been using the 300D for three years and now want to upgrade. What do
you all recommend? I want to stay within a budget of £600. Thanks

The SI submissions have been coming in with phots from far and wide.
NOTE: Please do _not use_ si AT aliasimages.com as the e-meil there has

from me, then your phots may not be in hand.
Online photo trail guide30 Aug 2008 14:34 GMT2
I tried this out today. I did a simple trail walk with camera and GPS
attachment, taking photos every few yards. I concentrated on some of the
interesting plants along the way. So now I have a nice little photo
trail guide for people to use. (I haven't labeled the pix - maybe if

Printing too dark29 Aug 2008 13:33 GMT3
I have a Canon 350D, PSPX2 and an Epson R1800 printer. Mainly use Epson
Premium Glossy paper. Computer is a Dell Latitude hooked up to a Dell
monitor, calibrated with Pantone Huey. Photos look fine on the monitor and
on other monitors. Problem is that prints come out very dark.

Vignette control on Nikon D329 Aug 2008 08:39 GMT19
On my D3, on the 'Shooting' menu the last item is "Vignette control". I
can't find this mentioned anywhere in the manual. Either in the book
provided with the camera, or on the PDF I downloaded.
I assume it might be something that was been added in firmware released

fluorescent lights).  I have the standard Nikon 55-200 zoom which
delivers slow and grainy pictures at f-4 even without Auto Focus.  I
Night sky on Long Island29 Aug 2008 05:25 GMT5
I took this around 10PM last night in Montauk NY. That's not sunset -
it's haze and sodium light pollution which is encroaching from more
populous areas to the west.
