For the moment only small sensors, but it should not be a problem to
also make larger sensors. For your information, back-illuminated sensors

Nikon D-6015 Jun 2008 17:40 GMT7
Five years ago, just before my Daughters wedding, I bought a Nikon D-100. I've
loved the camera. But now I'm looking at these new D-40 and D-60 models. Besides
the nearly double megapixels, how much more am I getting if I bought one of the
new ones? And would I be able to use the ...
Nikon Digital Lenses15 Jun 2008 04:12 GMT1
Five years ago, I bought a D-100. At the time, I had a Nikon 6006 35mm camera. I
asked the salesperson when I bought the digital if I could use the lens I had on
the 6006 I don't remember the specs on the lens other than it was a Nikon. He
told me I should get a lens better suited ...

Suggestions for Novice14 Jun 2008 21:30 GMT19
My niece is a budding photographer. Right now she only has a point and
shoot, but I'm considering buying her a new camera that would be a step
up. What cameras on the market allow the depth of field to be adjusted,
but aren't necessarily an SLR? I'm looking to spend somewhere ...
Image Storage Device Recommendations14 Jun 2008 18:13 GMT22
I will be spending 3 weeks in Europe and want to be sure I can download all
my images from my Canon 40D (SD cards) to a portable storage device of at
least 80GB capacity.
I will have access to mains power so battery requirement not essential.
I would like a nice , raw format, picture.14 Jun 2008 09:49 GMT6
As a kind of hobby project, I'm developing an open source raw convertor.
To use as example on the web page, and also to use as some kind of
'logo' image, I'm looking to a nice picture in a raw format (NEF, CR2,
How can I save different versions in Lightroom?14 Jun 2008 06:45 GMT5
I am a brand-new user of Lightroom (just purchased this week), and I wonder
if someone on this group can offer a solution to what seems like a very
simple problem -- but I haven't been able to find the solution.  That is, I
want to be able to locate pictures edited in Lightroom ...

Kodak Digital camera problem14 Jun 2008 05:19 GMT11
I've got a problem with a Kodak EasyShare Digital camera that we
bought several years ago... when it's on battery power, and you power
it up, it immediately asks for the date, extends the lens, then shuts
down. I was researching replacement Kodak cameras on NewEgg (I like

What is it with photographers these days? Are they really all

Epson 3800 - URGENT13 Jun 2008 13:31 GMT54
Urgent: I need feedback ASAP from other Epson 3800 owners.
On Feb 19, 2008, I bought a new Epson 3800 from Samys Camera of Los Angeles.
I set it up, made a single gorgeous 8x10 test print, and everything seemed
fine - for a while.  I left the country and didn't use the printer ...
