| Has anybody used the RCR-V3 lithium pack in place of two AA batteries? | 30 May 2008 14:20 GMT | 7 |
I've just learned that something called a RCR-V3 (rechargeable lithium pack) can replace the two AA batteries in certain cameras. Has anybody tried this, and if so, what camera and how did it perform as compared with NiMH batteries?

| Tripod and Ball Head for Nikon D3 and 70-200 f/2.8 | 29 May 2008 19:33 GMT | 2 |
I'd like to get some advice for a Gitzo Carbon Fiber tripod and center ball head for my Nikon D3 and lenses, the heaviest being my Nikon 70-200 f/2.8. I'd like it sturdy, but as light as reasonably possible (that's why I've decided on Carbon Fiber). I'm not interested in Basalt.

| Do you still sharpen? | 29 May 2008 08:12 GMT | 22 |
I know sharpening had a big place in photography due to low resolution digital cameras. The pictures were just too soft without a touch of sharpening. Even so the recommendation was to sharpen only just prior to printing.

| How to create pure white background? | 28 May 2008 03:28 GMT | 5 |
Sometimes I want to shoot some objects with a pure white background. To do this I use a large softbox as the background and adjust the intensity to just overexpose. An undesirable effect is a hazy look around the edges of the foreground
