Canon A40 problem30 Apr 2008 02:54 GMT6
Yeah, I know it's old, but it suits my purpose. I just upgraded to XP from
W2K (see, I like old stuff) and I can't get the camera installed. Not only
from the installation CD, but from drivers downloaded from the Internet.
The driver is A40WI410EN.exe, and is described as a ...

Command line utility to compare images29 Apr 2008 01:59 GMT1
I need a utility with which to compare pairs of images.
In a first step I would perform a batch RAW conversion of a large number
of images, then I would compare these images with images I converted
from RAW to JPEG some time ago. I would of course use the same RAW

Any experience with Nikon d300 (and AF-S DX VR Zoom-NIKKOR 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G  lens)?28 Apr 2008 17:23 GMT17
I am just about ready to buy a new camera.  For this amount of money, it
will be an "investment" for me.  I started out looking at Nikon d40x, then
moved to d80, and now I have just about settled on d300.  The d3 is entirely
out of my range; even the d300 is a stretch.  However, I ...

digital back for sf128 Apr 2008 02:10 GMT7
Does anyone know of a retrofit digital back for  Pentax SF 1?  Ricoh
or other K mount body manufacturer?  I have too many lenses to change
from Pentax, and I am too cheap to buy a  new body.  Thanks.
Lightroom vs Microsoft's Live photo gallery28 Apr 2008 02:04 GMT6
I only do minor edits and tagging etc... and MS Live Photo gallery seems to
be doing everything I need right now and its free. Am just a little
concerned if Lightroom offers something which I might miss later.
Has anyone tried both of them? Is lightroom worth the dollars adobe ...
Through The Windows With The D3!!28 Apr 2008 00:10 GMT5
The old D3 does it again!  It pulls off another great moment that only Nikon
can capture.  It's so nice to find open windows when the D3 is around.

This is a 12 megapixel camera capable of 1.5 fps in continuous mode.  Any

Can the D70 take excellent "available light" pictures like a regular

I tried to take pictures with the only light coming from the fireplace
and the christmas tree lights.  Of course my Sony Mavica didn't do the
