In film days, KODAK usually sold ( at most ) half-dozen differrent types of camera. These lines would continue ( for several years ) usually until folks got tired of the odd film formats.

Not that one is better than the other but some people say that there are distinct differences between the Color taken with Canon Lenses on Canon bodies (digital only) and the ones taken with Nikon Lenses on Nikon bodies.

This might be a bit off topic, but not sure of a better NG. I have some AVI files from my digital camera that need some editing for brightness. Anybody know of any free trials I can get to brighten up the images, preferably something inexpensive to register?

I have a bunch of pics on my digital camera that I can't see. Whenever I try to view them on my camera it says "this file cannot be played" I transferred them onto my computer and each file (that I can't see)

Wow, with all this hype about the D3, and everyone feeling so chipper about being able to take better pictures without actually becoming abetter photographer, I just can't help but whistle a happy tune -- even though I don't actually own a D3.

I've decided I need a real macro lens for my Canon 30D. No more blue halos, an need relatively big mangification. (i.e. a 2 inch field of view will do, more or less.) So the choice is the EF f/2.8 100mm macro (to half life size) ... OR
