Macro Flash for Nikon<-- best one?28 Feb 2008 02:29 GMT9
I'm just getting into macro photograpy with the Nikon 105mm VR and
D300. Which macro flash is best? Nikon has the R1 flash but I have
seen some mixed reviews. Your input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
What causes this?28 Feb 2008 01:16 GMT3
This is a serious question, not an attempt to get you to buy my stuff.
I'm puzzled why my eBay photos taken with the same camera, the same
settings and stored as jpegs of the same size and resolution come out so
different on the site.

Take a look at the many vendors shown on this page:

There is one problem. *Every* dealer listed is the same dealer! All are
members of the Broadway family. Now if you click the link at the bottom to
polarizing filter27 Feb 2008 21:43 GMT1
I have a FujifilmFinePixS3100 camera which has been a great camera.
I'm new to digital and have been an SLR 35mm film camera user for
decades.
I used a polarizing filter for most of my landscape shots with the
Stanford camera chip can see in 3D27 Feb 2008 05:11 GMT4
"Most folks think of a photo as a two-dimensional representation of a scene.
Stanford University researchers, however, have created an image sensor that
also can judge the distance of subjects within a snapshot.
To accomplish the feat, Keith Fife and his colleagues have developed
Unable to reload photos in camera27 Feb 2008 05:08 GMT3
The subject is a little misleading but I have uploaded some photos into my
camera so I could hook it up to the TV and show some photos to an interested
party.  The majority are OK but I get the error message "file error" on some
of them and the screen will not show them.  I used ...
SD digital memory27 Feb 2008 02:34 GMT8
Will my camera be able to write pictures faster to a fast SD card or
is the limiting factor the camera?
A sales guy to me the advertised write speeds are for transferring to
a computer.

with Nikon's 3D Color Matrix Metering II, you can expect beautifully
exposed pictures under almost any lighting condition, with Nikon's
original digital image processing concept, EXPEED, comprehensively
optimizing your pictures, shot after shot
The OPEN AS does not work in my Photoshop Elements 6.026 Feb 2008 23:02 GMT3
Just downloaded and installed a "trial" copy of Photoshop Elements
6.0 .  Much to my disappointment the OPEN AS does not work; and, of
couse, the Adobe Help Documentation is nearly worthless.  If I try to
open a jpg (created in CS2) as a PSD file, I get the error msg that it
Fuji A340 resolution question26 Feb 2008 22:37 GMT23
I have a Fuji A340 which has four settings for taking pictures. They refer
to the megapixel settings of the sensor I assume. They are labeled 1M, 2M,
4N (normal), and 4F (fine). I have always shot with the setting on the
highest, i.e. 4F, but recently I got to wondering how it ...
Camera Recommendation - Outdoor26 Feb 2008 21:21 GMT2
I need to monitor an area and have the camera snap every X mins.  I'd
want pretty good resolution.  Ideal location would put the camera
about 30 yards from where it would be monitoring.  Again, if we are
talking ideal, then wireless.
which Digital SLRs to choose26 Feb 2008 15:24 GMT2
if you you've already invested in a set of 35mm SLR lenses and
accessories, there's a good chance that you'll be able to find a
digital SLR body that's compatible with them.

EXIF problem: Raw Shooter vs. Picture Project26 Feb 2008 10:28 GMT4
Does anyone know why this would happen...  If I open a Nikon .NEF file
with RawShooter essentials 2006, do some stuff to it, export it as a
.jpg and then import that .jpg into PictureProject 1.7.5, the EXIF
data isn't there.
