| Using Photoshop to blur the background (like shallow depth of field) | 16 Jan 2008 10:41 GMT | 79 |
The basic process is (a) masking off everything but the background and (b) blurring the background. The Extract Tool is typically the best way to do the masking, but other masking tools can be helpful as well, depending on the image.

| Self cleaning sensors | 15 Jan 2008 17:29 GMT | 6 |
Are self cleaning sensors on DSLR's really effective or are they only a marketing ploy to sell cameras? I do quite a bit of outdoor photography and would change lenses often in the field. I am looking at the 5D which has no such feature. Should that be a

Where can I go to check out the specs on the CPUs inside various digital cameras? I want to check out the technical details, Mhz, cache, RISC or CISC? Manufacturers don't seem to have that kind of details on their webpages.
