Anybody own a Fujifilm FinePix F40fd digital camera?
What are your opinions of this camera? Which accessories do you recommend
with this camera - compact protective case, memory card, ac adapter, lens
cleaning cloth, lcd screen protector, extra lithium-ion battery, etc.

I just recently upgraded to vista and I was transfering files from my
old computer to my new one.  I noticed that I had oodles of
duplicates.  I'm not a pro-photographer .. barely a novice one at
that.

I loadad the plugin it comes in the Effects menu, but without any
reaction, no erroe message nothing, nada...

Is the Pentax K10 Digital capable of infrared photography?  If not, is
it because there is a filter in front of the CCD sensor that effectively
blocks infrared wavelengths?  If it is, how is an infrared photo
achieved with the camera?

I have a new Epson Stylus Photo 1400 printer. The ink is so expensive

I am a lurker who occasionally pops in to different groups with a question.
This time I would like your opinions on the different applications being used
for managing digital photographs. I have tried out several applications for
managing/archiving my photos am not really happy ...

There are a number of tools available which can do "lossless"
compression of jpeg files, they get around 20-25% compression. There
are both commercial/proprietary (StufIt) and free/open-source options
(PackJPG, PAQ etc...).

I just encountered a problem with a Nikon CoolPix 950 which caused
inconvenience and might have resulted in a loss of images from the CF
card.  As a similar problem might exist with other camera models,
other people might want to be aware of the issue.
