with CompUSA closing and putting everything on sale 15% I was wondering
if anyone has found any deals?

On my screen, when I zoom and depress the button half-way I get a flashing
icon in the lower right corner. It is red, looks like a lobster. It occurs
about 90% of the time when I try and do a zoom shot (auto mode).
Can someone enlighten me as to what is going on?

Just noticed that the new DSLR from Canon (the 450) is using only SD
(not CF). Could this be the start of the end for CF?

I'm putting together an introduction to digital photography course for
teenagers in 4-H.  Unfortunately I only have an hour (but then, on the
bright side, I can only bore them so much in an hour ;-) ).
The following is an outline I put together for this course -- I'd appreciate

Don't hear much about them any more.
Printed a high school class reunion booklet on one several years
back and it seemed to work at least as well as the ink jets that
I also printed some copies on.

Is there any free programs out there that are similar to say, Paint
Shop Pro? What are considered to be the best and which one should we
avoid?

I am trying to remove all white pixels from a monochrome (black and
black) picture imported into Adobe Photoshop 5.0 LE. The magic wand
does not work because it removes contiguous pixels only. Is there any
way to remove all white pixels?

I have a Canon 400D DSLR and I would like to use it with a "Centron FG 30"
flashgun.   Can someone please tell me if they are compatable voltage wise
or will I finish up frying the circuits of the 400D?
