scanning old negs20 Dec 2007 21:36 GMT8
Need a fast response to this one if anybody knows the solution. I have just
been given three very old b/w negatives. They aren't numbered or identified
in any way so, which side should be facing down in my scanner? The silvery
side or the glossy side?

RAW convertors20 Dec 2007 20:30 GMT29
I'm cheap. there, that's out of the way.
I resisted shooting RAW at all, because I'm too cheap to upgrade from
Photoshop Cs to CS2 or 3. Once I found out I could use Nikon's VuewNX, I
started shooting RAW files, and it opened up lots of new options for me.

Different strokes20 Dec 2007 13:49 GMT4
I applaud the (majority) attitude when it comes time to answer a newbie
question. Someone will generally try to encourage the poster to supply
more information, as those looking for help seldom realize that hints
about what kind of photography they do will result in a more ...

I am interested in purchasing a digital photo frame. I've been looking for
the past few months but information details about the frames isn't always
specific. I would like a 10.4" size with a 4:3 ratio. Most important I

Here is conclusive proof that the Kramer character was racist on Seinfeld20 Dec 2007 05:51 GMT24
Jerry and Kramer catch Newman stealing the board in the Risk game
episode and Kramer yells "I'm takin the Congo as a penalty!"
So what, is the Congo a slave or something to you: Michael Richards,
Larry David, and Jerry Seinfeld? You think you can just take some lowly

New Sony DCR-SR8220 Dec 2007 01:08 GMT3
I know that I'm grasping at straws here, but I'm looking for anyone
who is familar with this camera.  When I use the supplied A/V cables
to connect to my television, I get the same HUD display as is on the
viewfinder.  I'd like to use a "full-screen" mode that doesn't have
Nikon D40 vs D40x20 Dec 2007 01:01 GMT2
Got a Nikon D40 about 2 weeks ago from Amazon.I went with the D40
(6.1megapixel) and not the D40x (10.2 megapixel) because I used the $200
savings on a flash. BTW the camera is great and able to print 81/2 x 11
prints very crisp.
