HP M547 - Worst Digital Camera I've ever Owned27 Dec 2007 23:00 GMT3
About a month ago I bought a HP Photosmart M547 camera.  I was
hesitant to buy it due to the lack of a viewfinder, but I needed a
camera, this one was on sale, and money was tight.
In the past, the newest dig. camera I owned was an Olympus D550, a 3MP
Panasonic FZ-18 v LX-2 v TZ-327 Dec 2007 16:48 GMT27
I know they are very different cameras, but I am using this question as
an excuse to think aloud to myself and also to learn how you feel about

My FZ8 allows me to steer the autofocusing around the image to the area that
I want to focus on but, unless I am missing something, does not allow me to
select an area of the image for auto exposure control.  I can do it by
pointing the camera at the area, pressing the shutter half ...

Just over three years ago I bought a Canon Powershot A85 and recently
the screen started becoming unstable in shoot mode but the photos were
OK and review mode was stable. Then the photos became corrupted - poor
colour and horizontal lines. This failure after only three years is

work in "AUTO" mode even though it is switched "ON".   I would be most
interested to hear from any other users as to whether their beep works or
not.   If you have a body that beeps where is the loudspeaker ...
