fuji s6000fd/s6500fd -> IR conversion30 Dec 2007 00:05 GMT6
I would appreciate any how-to about converting s6000fd/s6500fd camera to
IR mode. All I know it is about removing IR blocking filter from the
camera (it sits just before the sensor), but I couldn't find any guide
on the internet how to do this.
Can a point and shoot be repaired?29 Dec 2007 21:43 GMT84
I have a 4-year-old Canon Powershot A70 that has a major problem.
When looking at the preview screen, everything's so distorted that it
looks like your on LSD or something. :-)  And the photos turn out that
way, as well.  I would love to get the camera repaired because it has
Sony H2 Batteries29 Dec 2007 21:07 GMT4
My biggest problem with my Sony H2 is that it uses up batteries so
fast!
I exclusively use rechargeable batteries for the camera. I read
somewhere I should be able to get some 400 shots from a single
Question: Camera to external LCD29 Dec 2007 19:19 GMT6
Is there a camera available that will permit viewing (before capturing)
an image on an external LCD?
That would be a step up from Canon's Remote Capture utility that allows
computer control of the camera via USB and directing images after

I have been unable to connect to this page for more than a week.

Canon G9 vs A650is29 Dec 2007 13:08 GMT1
Any real differences between the two, aside from RAW from the -9 and the
swivel screen on the -650???
The lens-sensor-stabilization-digicIII package seems identical between the
two.
Best Li-ion battery for Lumix FZ20?29 Dec 2007 08:27 GMT12
I've got a couple of original Panasonic batteries that came with the FZ20
and it seems to me that they grew weak fairly quickly.  The camera displays
battery charge with three bars and now after I put in a freshly charged
battery the level drops to two bars after taking just a ...
High ends Canon vs. Nikon - an observation29 Dec 2007 07:01 GMT7
I do not own both cameras. However, looking through lots of samples
available in the web, I seems to notice that photos (mostly the ones
that I observed were portraits) taken using Canon high end DSLR (1D,
1Ds,5D,10D, etc.) appear to have light or bland colors. In contrast,
DSLR vs P&S a replay of Film vs Digital?29 Dec 2007 06:54 GMT1143
Arguments over relative merits of DSLR vs P&S digicams
occupy a plurality of current traffic volume on r.p.d.
In many ways it reminds me of the film vs digital debate
of the last many years.
D300 Camera Out performing the Metering System in both A and S Modes29 Dec 2007 00:50 GMT36
Well I have had my D300 for a day now and I am really getting the hang
of it.  One question however for the experts.  I am using an 18-200 mm
lens and with the ISO set to 200 and the Camera in "A" (Aperture
Priority Mode) I pointed the Camera at my leather sofa (away from the
Canon A630--what is this symbol?29 Dec 2007 00:24 GMT3
On my screen, when I zoom and depress the button half-way I get a flashing
icon in the lower right corner. It is red, looks like a lobster. It occurs
about 90% of the time when I try and do a zoom shot (auto mode).
Can someone enlighten me as to what is going on?
This is an opportunity.  Take it!28 Dec 2007 21:46 GMT2
Have you ever dreamed of being in the right place at the right time,
of being in at the beginning of something big? Ever wanted to be one
of the first to know about the next big thing and be positioned at or
near the top for a change?
What brands have flip-out rotatable LCDs?28 Dec 2007 21:27 GMT6
Is Canon the only company that offers some models of P&S cameras that have
flip-out rotatable LCD screens?  I checked the Nikon and Olympus web sites
and didn't see any, although I didn't check every model.
Canon IXUS960/SD960 IS Vertical Smear ??28 Dec 2007 15:28 GMT1
Just got an IXUS 960IS  and I am not sure if the following is normal when
taking movies.
Any movie that has a slightly brighter area than the rest of the scene,
i.e. a window/part of a window has lots and lots of purple/blue vertical
