Antarctic advice revisited...27 Nov 2007 17:58 GMT24
With the recent sinking of an Antarctic cruise ship by an iceberg, does
anyone want to offer revised advice about keeping your camera dry, or the
best clothing to wear during one of these cruises?
FInePix 9600 good or bad?27 Nov 2007 09:40 GMT2
I utilised this forum extensively earlier this year and your opinions
were all considered when I purchased my first DSLR (EOS 400d).
I now ask for opinions on the FInepix S9600 because my wife is looking
for a more serious camera than her point and click, but doesn't like
Why pixel peeping (usually) makes no sense27 Nov 2007 09:31 GMT96

A spider had woven its web right across the entrance to the cave and a
dove was nesting with her mate nearby. As the Meccans stood in front

I am looking to purchase a new digital camera and was wondering if any one

really don't know much about them.  I am looking for a camera that takes
good pictures and is easy to use.  Let me know if you have ...
"rec.photo.digital.txt"  and "rec.photo.digital.dat" Filter Data Updated and Posted26 Nov 2007 16:29 GMT1
In the on-going effort to de-troll r.p.d., I have automated the
extraction of the trolls' e-mail addresses from my newsreader's filter
file into a text file. Feel free to import this list into your news
reader's filter list if it is capable of importing text files of e-mail
Kodak C613 or Polaroid i733?26 Nov 2007 16:14 GMT6
I am buying a digi camera for my 2 non-techy brothers for Xmas.  I am
also tech challenged.
With the help of our techy sister, they have determined what they
want.  They want either the Kodak C613 or the Polaroid i733.
Anyone with a Nikon WC-E24 wide converter?26 Nov 2007 09:16 GMT45
I lost the large lens cap on a plane. I thought trying to find a
replacement would be a lot easier if I had the number. So if you have this
converter, could you please post the part number on the large cap.
