Safe to use Canon Speedlite 166A on Canon S5is?10 Nov 2007 06:36 GMT2
I have a Speedlite 166A that I used a few times on my Canon S5is,
until someone told me I could damage the camera with it.  I quit using
it, but is it really unsafe to use on this camera?  The recommended
flashes are 220EX, 430EX, 580EX.  Thanks

Ooops-dropped DMC-TZ1  -- Worth trying to fix?10 Nov 2007 00:25 GMT1
I dropped my Panasonic DMC-TZ1 camera on concrete and now it makes a
horrible noise when it's on.  Sometimes the noise (sounds like
grinding gears) stops but the autofocus does not work.  It does take

P & S and depth-of-field09 Nov 2007 17:54 GMT16
Some time ago in this group I asked about depth-of-field with a compact

A friend using her new Fuji (A610, I think) asked me how to get shots with

is Islam the true religion?09 Nov 2007 04:47 GMT3
The prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) reported that Allah said, "I created my
servants in the right religion, but devils made them go astray."  The
prophet (p.b.u.h) also said, "Each child is born in a state of
Fitrah.  Then his parents make him a Jew, Christian or Zoroastrain.
Canon and imitation Canon batteries from ukdigital.co.uk?08 Nov 2007 20:34 GMT4
Last summer I bought a pair of Powerstorm Canon NB-4L equivalent
batteries from ukdigital.co.uk, and the first one recently started
giving poor performance although I think it's only been through 20 or
30 power cycles.
Does any ps camera have decent size sensor?08 Nov 2007 18:47 GMT11
I see that one common complaint against ps camera is the small size of
sensors. Is there any ps ir "bridge" camera that has a decent size
sensor? Thanks.
Forget conventional P&Ss, and odious cellphone cams08 Nov 2007 16:48 GMT4
Where is the Minox sized digital, 4-5 megapixel, 1/1.8" sensor and (at
most) a fixed lens of about 35mm equivalent focal length, with 1 G
internal memory?

After being pleasantly surprised by the answer to my post on DOF
