Evolution of the DVC02 Oct 2007 22:28 GMT10
Arguments are starting between DSLR and P&S advocates as digital camera
technology evolves. My hopes are on the DVC (Digital View Camera) as the
final solution to these arguments.
Early P & S cameras were considered just toys with their tiny screens and
Which SD card to use in my new Canon SD950 IS?02 Oct 2007 22:20 GMT8
Just ordered a new Canon SD950 IS and wondered if anyone knew if using

that will take the data as fast as the camera itself can send it...
macro focusing02 Oct 2007 21:09 GMT16
Have a Canon Rebel XT and am using the EF 50mm f.2.5 compact macro lens.  I

and detail on an object about 3 inches long or more.  ...

Camera: Canon XTi
Remote: Chinese knock RM-E1 an RC-1 equivalent.
Is operation not as simple as just pointing the unit at the front of
the camera, and pressing it's instant (or 2 second delay) button?

1st DSLR02 Oct 2007 05:17 GMT33
After using my S3 for the past year, with "Just OK" results in my opinion, I
have decided I should just go with a DSLR.  I know the S3 isn't for amateurs
and you have to have the knowledge to reach it's capabilitys, so I figured
if I have to learn all that, I might as well get ...

Canon A710is battery hog01 Oct 2007 23:27 GMT5
Is it just mine or is anyone else having problems with the A710 going
through batteries very quickly?  When I first got it they seemed to
last much longer.  Is it possible I set something wrong to create this
problem?

This is using auto-focus, since I can never tell looking through the lens

There's a new digital camera review in this month's Consumer Reports.  I
know, these reports don't tend to be in-depth enough and this one is no
