| Brooklyn's West Indian Day Parade Pictures - Finally Up | 11 Oct 2007 13:51 GMT | 13 |
Okay. So I dwaddled this year. The parade was five weeks ago. But this weekend I finally made it through cropping all the pictures I took, and then it didn't take very long to go through them and select the ones to include in the album. You can find them here:

| Photos From Cancun | 11 Oct 2007 11:21 GMT | 2 |
This is a wonderful lie shot from Cancun, Mexico of a pelican taking of. Note the arch in the pelicans back as the pelican is flapping its wings. I realize this isn't the highest quality photo but after photoshop this could be a masterpiece. <a href="http://www.picable.com/

| Why Is This Photo Blurry? | 11 Oct 2007 09:14 GMT | 9 |
For some reason, just about all my photos, regardless of camera, are blurry, especially night shots. I can't figure out what is causing it. Here is a photo that I took yesterday, using a Canon 20 mm singlet set to f/5.0 and using the on-camera flash of my Canon 20D:

While browsing the main CHDK Russian forums, I ran across some interesting links. The originator of the RAW-hack, which caused the birth of CHDK, tested MX3's implementation of motion detection to see if it really was fast enough to capture lightning strikes with total automation.

| photo back up | 09 Oct 2007 18:48 GMT | 17 |
Since I went digital in 2001, I have about 20gb of pictures totaling over 25,000 images. I want to back them up and not do any damage by compressing them. I do incremental backups after events where I have taken a lot of pictures but want a more comprehensive and planned kind
