Brooklyn's West Indian Day Parade Pictures - Finally Up11 Oct 2007 13:51 GMT13
Okay. So I dwaddled this year. The parade was five weeks ago. But this
weekend I finally made it through cropping all the pictures I took, and
then it didn't take very long to go through them and select the ones to
include in the album. You can find them here:
Photos From Cancun11 Oct 2007 11:21 GMT2
This is a wonderful lie shot from Cancun, Mexico of a pelican taking
of. Note the arch in the pelicans back as the pelican is flapping its
wings. I realize this isn't the highest quality photo but after
photoshop this could be a masterpiece. <a href="http://www.picable.com/
Why Is This Photo Blurry?11 Oct 2007 09:14 GMT9
For some reason, just about all my photos, regardless of camera, are
blurry, especially night shots. I can't figure out what is causing it.
Here is a photo that I took yesterday, using a Canon 20 mm singlet set
to f/5.0 and using the on-camera flash of my Canon 20D:
Lightning Photography - CHDK with MX3 Motion Detection - A Strike Every Time11 Oct 2007 00:16 GMT1
While browsing the main CHDK Russian forums, I ran across some interesting
links. The originator of the RAW-hack, which caused the birth of CHDK, tested
MX3's implementation of motion detection to see if it really was fast enough to
capture lightning strikes with total automation.

P&S recommendations.10 Oct 2007 22:25 GMT1
So I'd like to replace an old Canon PowerShot S400 (ELPH) that has
gotten long in the tooth. I think I'd like a P&S as thin as possible
with a nice large screen and some modicum of control.
Something to take places when not in the mood to lug the 30D around..
Geotagging question10 Oct 2007 19:57 GMT8
I'm going for a journey during which I will travel through a number of time
zones. For the first time I will bring with me a GPS-logger (and a DSLR - of
course).
Somewhere I have read that it is recommended to leave the camera-clock at

How to get PAN newsreader to resize photos to fit in the body frame10 Oct 2007 01:56 GMT31
Is there any way to get the Windows PAN newsreader freeware to resize
photos to fit the viewing window in the body pane without having to scroll
all the time?
Pan is one of the best freewre newsreaders out there - but for this one
photo back up09 Oct 2007 18:48 GMT17
Since I went digital in 2001, I have about 20gb of pictures totaling
over 25,000 images.  I want to back them up and not do any damage by
compressing them.  I do incremental backups after events where I have
taken a lot of pictures but want a more comprehensive and planned kind
